News from the Nest
August 30, 2024
We know it's hard to believe, but the first day of the school year is just under a week away. Over this past week, we got to meet our newest members of the Cardinal Nest during freshman orientation, helped some of our 12th graders kick-start their senior year with their annual parking meeting, and welcomed a handful of new faculty and staff. We can't wait to see the rest of our Cardinal family...but not yet! There's still a precious bit of summer left to soak up, so enjoy the weekend and the days ahead, and make the most of the rest of summer break before we officially ring in the 2024-2025 school year next week!
This year, the LHS newsletter will be sent out every other Tuesday, starting September 10. Please refer to these newsletters for updates and announcements throughout the year. They are also always available on the high school website (www.ltps.org/LHS) and our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/LHSCardinalsNJ/).

Go Team, Go!
On Thursday, August 29, our top-notch crew of peer leaders showed our newest Cardinals the lay of the land at our annual 9th grade orientation event and club fair. They welcomed our incoming freshman class, gave small-group tours of the school, answered questions, and gave our new students the inside scoop of "all things LHS!" After, they guided them to a club fair, where they had a chance to meet some more of their future peers and learn about some of the clubs and activities we have to offer. Thank you, peer leaders, for your guidance, candor, positivity, and leadership! Check out this link to see a few pictures from the day.
