LA PRIMARIA SCHOOL May 17, 2024

Parents we really need your support. Students were given a Color Run donation envelope on May 5th. We asked that they help gather donations for our fundraiser. As of this day we have not received mamy donations. The fundraiser helps La Primaria with end of year activities which include the third grade promotion, awards, fun end of year activities for all the classrooms and good attendance celebrations.

The last day to turn in the donation envelope is May 23rd. The top donation will receive a brand new Nintendo Switch and the second most donation will receive a Nintendo Switch Lite. Students who turn in $150.00 or more will be able to spin the wheel for more prizes. The top class will receive a special luncheon in their classroom. Students who turn in $10.00 or less will receive an ice cream party. Every student participating will be able to participate in prizes and most of all, FUN during the color run.

Our official day for our color run is on May 24th. Students will be running through an obstacle course and will go through the chalk and bubbles during the obstacles. As of today, May 17th we have two classrooms in the lead: Room K3 and Room 8.

La Primaria staff would like to THANK all of our wonderful parent volunteers that have helped throughout the school year. We couldn't have done it without you. We honor you and we wanted to let you know that all your hard work was appreciated and all the decorations and events that you helped with were amazing. We will be honoring you on May 22nd.

A quick reminder that we still have a few yearbooks for sale. The last day to purchase will be on May 28th. If you will be purchasing one please inform the office they are going quickly. The cost of the yearbook is $15.00. We will also be pre-selling them during our Open House. The yearbooks will arrive by June 3rd and will be distributed during the week of June 3rd.

Memorial Day commemorates all the women and men who have died while in military service and will be observed this year on May 27, 2024, the last Monday in May as designated by Federal law (36 U.S.C. 116 ).

Please mark your calendars! Tuesday, May 28th from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. La Primaria will have our OPEN HOUSE night event. We will also be on MODIFIED DAY schedule therefore, all students will be dismissed at 1:50 p.m. Come and see what your students accomplished throughout the year.

All pre-enrolled students parents have also been invited to attend our Open House.

Third grade students will be going on a End of Year celebration field trip on May 29th. The students will be going to Castle Park in the city of Riverside. If your child has not turned in their Field Trip Consent Form please do so as soon as possible. Unfortunately, if your student does not have a consent form on file they will not be able to attend this field trip.

All students will be receiving a special end of year T-shirt. We ask that the students wear the t-shirt on May 29th for the field trip. If you have not picked up the t-shirt please stop by the office. If you are not able to pick up the t-shirts they will be given to the students on Tuesday, May 28th.

We would like to thank parents for helping your child come to school every day and on time. Students will be celebrated for their good attendance on May 31st with a special Reptile Assembly.

End of the year is just around the corner! We will have awards assemblies for our students and we would like to inform you ahead of time so that you are able to be at La Primaria for your chids special day.

Our awards schedule will be as follows:

TK, K1, K2, K3 - Will be handing out their awards on June 12th. All students will be receiving an award. We hope that you are able to plan on coming to La Primaria.

First/Second Grade Students (Teachers will contact parents if award is given to student)

Third Grade Students (All students to receive awards)

June 11th - 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. - Outside Blacktoip

There is still time to register for Summer School. Think Together is hosting summer school for our students at Baker Elementary school located at 12043 Exline St, El Monte. If you would like to register please scan the QR code attached. Unfortunately, at this time pre-enrolled students are not eligible to attend.
