Author Visit Book Orders - Due by April 9

Students that wish to purchase an autographed copy of Ryan T. Higgins' new book Penelope Rex should turn in their order form by April 9th. The cost of each book is $19.

Solar Eclipse

As you may have heard, there will be a solar eclipse on Monday, April 8.

Due to safety reasons for our students, we will conduct recess indoors on this date. Some staff have inquired about purchasing specific sunglasses for this event so students could watch this. However, the safety and reliability of some of these sunglasses are not guaranteed and as such, we will not be having outdoor activities on this day.

We will be celebrating the day with different activities of the staff's choosing to engage the students in this event safely indoors.

Social Media Parent Presentation

Parents: Please attend our Parent Information Session around "Addressing Cyberbullying & Unwise Social Media Use". Attendees will leave encouraged, empowered and equipped with an increased ability to promote safe and responsible participation in cyberspace among the youth they care for, and with numerous resources to assist them toward those ends.

24-25 Student Registration

Student registration for the 24-25 school year has begun. Parents should reference the registration letter that went home with students this week to complete the registration process through PowerSchool. A completed registration will ensure that your child has a class placement for next year.

Families that will be moving and not attending Tioga next year should let the main office know so that all student records can be forwarded to the new school.

School Start Times

As a reminder, students enter their classrooms at 8:35 AM each morning to begin instruction. If a student enters the office at 8:40 AM, the student is considered tardy. While being a few minutes late to school may not seem like a lot, those minutes add up. Take a look at the table to see how tardies can add up over time and impact your child's overall education by the time they graduate high school!

STEAM Night Flyer

Families are invited to join us on May 1st for STEAM night from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. During STEAM night, students will be able to be engaged in fun science and technology activities.

May Preschool Screenings

Preschool screenings will take place in early may and are open to all families. Please click HERE for more information about the screenings and how to sign your child up for a screening.

Welcome to Ms. Lee

We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Lee as a long-term substitute for Ms. Ibeling until she returns to Tioga. Ms. Lee has a strong music background and went to school for music education, which should provide great engagement for your child.

Bus Lane and Staff Parking Lot Reminders

As a reminder, Tioga's bus lane (front drive off Memorial) and staff parking lot (off Mason) are closed to parent pick-up and drop-off during arrival and dismissal. This is especially important as we have seen a number of families attempt to utilize the bus lane to pick up their children. Not following Tioga's safety procedures creates a less safe environment for pedestrian traffic and slows down the arrival/dismissal process for all families.
