From the Principal's Desk
This week has been a huge success! Teachers across our district and county have been administered the second vaccine and we were able to remain in school and continue the strong learning environment with both in-person and remote learning instruction. Thank you to the PTO for creating care packages to kick off our week and help keep the staff feeling supported and positive.
Over the past two weeks, we have acknowledged students for their iReady work for the week. Above is a photo of our bulletin board. Students are also receiving postcards at home, and names are announced during our Wednesday announcements congratulating their hard work on iReady in reading, math, or across the whole personalized pathway as an MVP. Keep up the great work and support at home to ensure students are able to work, learn and grow.
I have also included some photos from our hallways highlighting some of our student work. I know that not being able to come to school this year has made it difficult to see all the great things that are occurring with our kids. I have highlighted some of our first-grade writing, the art highlight, and our PAWS that the whole school has earned through following our 3 expectations - Be responsible, Be respectful, Be safe! We also had the pleasure of having our PE teacher Mrs. Semenek integrate cardio drumming into most of our PE classes. We were able to borrow some equipment from another school, and the kids really enjoyed the music and cardio workout. I highlighted using a video of second graders on our Twitter account as well, check it out.
Happy Birthday to our Remote Students!
The PTO has a special birthday gift for all our Lincoln Leopards! Any remote student that has a birthday in the months of August through March and has not picked up their birthday bag at the school, please come by at your convenience during office hours to pick it up!
FROM THE PTO:
