SHISD Mid-Week Message
Promoting Great Things in a Great School District
Texas Public School Week
Have a Wonderful Spring Break!
Kudos for the week
- Thank you to Mrs. Patti Miller and the SH Education Foundation Board for a great evening of fundraising at the 2016 Run for the Roses. I am thankful for the community's generosity.
- Thanks to superintendent, Steven Snell, for training all of those in attendance at the Run for the Roses on the appropriate attire for such an evening!!! Way to make this year so memorable! Thanks also to Patti Miller, John Borens, Ben Shelton, and the Education Foundation board of directors for their hard work in making the evening a great success for our students!!! - B. Shurbet
The intermediate had a substitute teacher, Leslie Albright came in today with Allie D. from life skills and she is so incredibly good with her. Allie is smiling and eating and Mrs. Albright is "engaged" with Allie . I am not the only one who noticed this, so I felt it should be shared. -Michelle Smith
Amy Mayhew used her keen nurse sense last week to help save a life! A mom came into the Primary to drop off some things for her child's classroom. Amy noticed that the mom did not look like she felt well. Amy immediately checked her vitals and called the lady's mom to take her to the ER. Within 2 hours of this, the mom was in surgery having a heart stint put in. Way to go Nurse Amy!!! We are so blessed to have you on our campus!!!! - Deanna Turner
Thank you to ALL of the Primary staff for making our building look great for Texas Public School Week!!
Panther Nation will be proud to know that the Jr. High campus has continued the Spring Hill tradition of excellence by dominating the UIL meet this past Saturday. Spring Hill achieved a first place victory for the overall meet as well as for each grade level. Kudos to Mrs. Graham for hosting such a successful UIL meet. She built a great support team and was well prepared to ensure a well run and positive event for Spring Hill. Panther Pride! - Mike Moore
As always, job well done! The building looked great and everything ran smooth as silk! I have to say that I especially loved the college decor in the Science lab (Eliza is just sure Ms. Stone is responsible for those- ha!). Creating that interest for college starts early and just that one small touch had Eliza asking questions! I really appreciate all that you do for our kiddos! Your hard work and dedication to our young Panthers is surely paying off! Thank you again! -Allison Bowles
I would just like to take a minute to thank the SH Ed Foundation board for your time. Patti, you did another wonderful job this year putting this event together. Thanks to all of you for helping make this another successful event as well. I'm very honored to work alongside such a wonderful group of dedicated individuals that have the same goal in helping our kids and our district. - Leslie Paull
Thank you again we couldn't do it without you!

SH Education Foundation Run for the Roses
Spring Hill Education Foundation held the annual fundraiser RUN FOR THE ROSES – THE SPRING HILL DERBY this past Saturday at The Reserve in Longview. It was an exciting night to Run for our Roses (teachers) kicking off at 6:00 pm with a catered meal by Perfect Catering. Emcee John Borens guided us through an eventful evening of horse racing, all in the name of fun, and raising money for teacher grants through live/silent auctions and a general raffle!
Through the continued support of our sponsors and our Spring Hill staff and community, we had a VERY SUCCESSFUL event! Our biggest thanks and appreciation to everyone involved!
