S-EBT helps families buy groceries for school-aged children during the summer when school meals are not available. Families receive $120 per eligible child on an EBT card that works like a debit card and can be used at grocery stores, farmers markets, and approved online retailers.

S-EBT benefits for Summer 2025 will begins issuing May 17, 2025 for all children who are automatically certified through streamlined data matching.
