Hello Puma Families!
We hope summer is going exceptionally well! It was a fantastic year-end, but now it's down to business ... let's win a SUMMER READING TROPHY!
You can sign your child up for the program by clicking here.
Then, have the children read. That's it. There are no points, logs, or other requirements. Just sign them up and read. If we have the highest percentage of students who sign up, we win trophy 6.

The Pawer
- Attendance! Thank you. As a community, we did it. Over the course of this year, we dropped the chronic absenteeism rate by several points and, most importantly, kept it under 10% of our population for accreditation. Additionally, we increased our daily attendance rate. The work of our main office, the counseling team, and YOU made the improvements happen. I'm grateful, but most significantly, more student learning occurred, and that was the genuine why. Keep the trend rolling for next year together.
- Kindergarten Registration is now open! Click here to register your child for the 24-25 school year, and share the link with a friend!

Pumas That Pounce
Thank you, PTA, for a wonderful Puma Palooza! The end-of-the-year celebrations were a new venture and added some wonderful memories to the end of the year.
Goodbye Hovatter/Henrietta Lacks Families
We had an excellent opportunity to say thank you and goodbye at the Kindergarten performance in early June, which was hosted or supported by our wonderful music and kindergarten teams. But, with a whole heart from the broader community, we thank you. We greatly appreciate your support for our community these past two years. Together, we made memories, gained experiences, and a genuine joint effort full of compromise and a "let's do this right and make it great" approach. I'm happy to have the opportunity to meet many families that I wouldn't have known without this experience. We came together and are all the better for it. I love the story and, most importantly, the students we met. Thank you, and enjoy opening the newest elementary school in LCPS, Henrietta Lacks!

Remember, when you come to school...
- When you come to school, it's essential to be in the habit of three things:
- Make an appointment
- Have your ID;
- Have your phone, especially if you are tardy, picking up, or returning a child to school, as we use an electronic form to record the child's return. You will access the form via a QR code scanned by your phone.
