Important District Shooting Sports Contest UPDATE
The Shooting Sports Coach MUST sign a Verification Form provided by the Agent and District Office indicating the shooter participated in their Shooting Sports Project Meetings, Practices, and Safety Meeting. If they deny the youth participated, then the child will NOT be allowed to compete at the District Contest. NO EXCEPTIONS!
After registration closes in 4HOnline, a form will be sent to the County Extension Agents to have their Certified 4-H Shooting Sports Coaches fill out on each child. They will either confirm or deny the child has participated in their project meetings, practices, and safety meeting. If they state the child did not fulfill these requirements, they will NOT be allowed to compete at the District IV 4-H Shooting Sports Contest.
We are emphasizing this new rule, so no one will be caught off guard. If you are a District IV 4-H Shooting Sports Coach or your child participates in this contest, I highly recommend you contact your County Extension Agent immediately for more details or questions. You may access the complete set of rules at https://d44-h.tamu.edu/district-shooting-sports-contest-information/
