6th Grade Visits Camp Howell
Our sixth-grade classes had an amazing experience at Camp Howell! We have carried on the tradition, and it would not have been possible without our amazing chaperones, Camp Howell staff, teachers, parent donations, PTO, and our Disney office staff/administration. The students worked collaboratively, interacted with rescued wildlife, learned about international exploration, and used their growth mindset to overcome new challenges. Forever memories were made, and this camp experience catapulted our sixth graders into an exciting year of teamwork, perseverance, and possibly a new appreciation for nature itself. Thank you to Mrs. Porter, families, students, and PTO for the investment made to make camp a success year after year! THANK YOU! “In nature’s classroom, every lesson is an adventure.”
3rd Graders ARRRRRR the Best!
Third grade students had a fun and challenging afternoon rescuing Humphrey the Hamster and their treasure from some swashbuckling pirates!! After finishing the class chapter book, the World According to Humphrey, both third grade classes worked on teamwork skills, perseverance, and comprehension skills to show what they have learned through an escape room challenge. The treasure and Humphrey were rescued!
Constitution Day
Thank you to our PTO for providing the funds to have Doug Scheer visit Disney for his Uncle Sam Comedy Jam! We all had a great time learning about the Constitution of the Untied States, Bill of Rights, branches of government, and more! Thank you Doug Scheer for visiting Disney and providing this experience

Canvas Parent Account
All Fraser classroom teachers provide instruction, resources, activities, and assessments to students utilizing the Canvas Learning Management System. As a result, students have continuous access to the course materials and information regarding their achievement.
Parents/Guardians can also have continuous access to their student’s course materials and grades in Canvas by creating a parent/observer account. In addition, parents of multiple students can easily switch between their students to view grades and assignments within the same parent account.
Parents can use Canvas to
Contact their child’s teacher
View grades, due dates, and events
See, and in many cases access, what the child is doing at school
Support an absent student
View classroom and building announcements
And more!
For the first step you will need to have two devices (tablet, laptop, computer or phone) available to be paired. One device will be used to log into your student’s canvas account. The other will be used to create your parent canvas account.
For parents/guardians of students whom are in young fives through 2nd Grade:
A QR code of your students’ username and password will have been sent home. Use your camera function to scan the QR code to access your student’s Canvas Account. If you are having issues with the QR code, contact your teacher or elementary media tech.

To log in as your student, go to this website (preferably in Chrome, but Safari is okay):
https://www.fraser.k12.mi.us/myfps Click on the icon that says Canvas Student Login.

Extra Clothes
Students may have a variety of accidents throughout the school day that require a change of clothes. To help prevent a call home, please make sure to have an extra set of clothes in your child’s backpack in case of an accident throughout the school day. Thank you!
In addition, please add your child's name to their belongings (water bottles, sweatshirts, etc). This will help us return lost belongings to students. Thank you!
Birthday Treat Policy
Birthdays are special celebrations at any age; however, with food allergies and restrictions and the critical demand for learning time—NO FOOD items will be allowed for birthday celebrations. Please do not send them. We will celebrate students’ birthdays in other ways.
