2 weeks of December academics, activities, mid-term graduation, and other events from across the district. We always say Grand Island Senior High never sleeps, so a great big thank you to all the support from our staff, students, families, and community to continue to provide our stakeholders the best experiences GISH has to offer. Please continue to Show Up, Try, and Communicate over the next 2 weeks to ensure you have done everything you can to finish strong!

islander athletics had a great showing this weekend. Boys and Girls wrestling finished well at their respective tournaments with Boys 2nd at Kearney and Girls winning at O'Neill. Boys and Girls BB played well also. Tomorrow is State Unified Bowling Championship. Lot's of events this week so check out the Activities Calendar posted at the top of this newsletter for all the info on your favorite events.

Freshman Students preferenced their pathways last Thursday and Friday in their Freshman Seminar class. They will find out more information in late January or early February.

The last day for Freshman students to turn in any late/missing work was last Friday, December 6th. The students will still have assignments and tests in the next two weeks to help improve their grades for the first semester.

After School Program (ASP) is designed to help students get a little extra support with their studies. Students are able to meet with GISH teachers in the Media Center after school. We will be having a full list of content teachers available Monday through Thursday each week posted on student announcements. Don't miss out on your opportunity to take advantage of experts guiding you to your preferred future.

Patrons visiting Grand Island Senior High will need to call the school to inform our secretaries and campus team prior to arrival so we can best serve your needs. Our intention is a safe and predictable learning environment. Please have a photo ID available upon entry during school hours.

All students driving to school are required to have a new parking permit visible in their car when parked on school property during school hours. Please stop by the West Office to get yours free of charge.
