Monthly Memo from the Principal
Mrs. Robbins- March 2025
March is here!
Happy Allergy Season...otherwise known as March in Texas! We have so many fun things coming up this month. Silver shoe, field trips, spring break, and so much more. Please read through the memo and let us know if you have any questions. Please see your child's class weekly update for grade-level specific important dates. Lots of great information there as well.
Spring break is coming SOON. We will be closed from Saturday, March 15 to Monday, March 24. Our staff have a professional development day on that Monday. Students will return on Tuesday, March 25.
We hope you all can rest and spend time together as a family during the break. My family has some high school baseball to enjoy and a quick trip to Longview, Texas to see family. Can't wait to enjoy time with family and hopefully some great weather!
Please let us know if your family or Husky need anything. We are here to help.

Congratulations to our Pleasant Hill Destination Imagination Team: Why Not?
Students (left to right) back row: Jace Dickson, Monisha Dasari, Emma Reynolds, Hazel Posey
Students (left to right) front row: Mona Clark, Joseph Blackwell, Cormac Borja
These students worked as a team to complete a scientific challenge where they explored the concept of space. They worked over the course of several months to create a skit in which the characters find out they are not alone on a new planet. They had to include a scientific demonstration and use creative “technobabble”. They presented their skit in front of a panel of judges on February 8 and tied for 6th place out of 15 teams.
Registration occurs in the fall of each school year when the new challenges are released! Mrs. O'Brien is our campus DI coordinator and can be contacted at lindsey.obrien@leanderisd.org if you have any questions about the program
Mark your calendar...3rd SILVER SHOE loading!!! March 14
Silver Shoe
Hello Parents,
We're excited to announce that our 3rd Silver Shoe Event of the year for K-5 is coming up on Friday, March 14 during your child's PE class. If you're new to PHE, this is an event where each grade class competes against each other to see who can run/walk the most laps in 20 minutes. This will take place outside in our south parking lot during your students' specials time. Please feel free to join us to either run/walk or cheer on your child.
All laps will be recorded and the class with the highest average laps per student will be named the fastest class. Our class winner from each grade will have the honor of signing our Silver Shoe Trophy and will display it in their classroom until the next event. We will also give out a spirit stick for the class that shows the most spirit per grade!
To help make this Silver Shoe successful, we are looking for volunteers to do things like count laps or helping with the water station. If you are interested and are an approved volunteer through LISD, please click on the link below to sign up for a time slot. Thanks in advance for donating your time!
