Harbor will be on Winter Break through January 29. Our first day(s) back to school will be January 30 & 31*.

***If you are a new family joining us for the Winter semester, please arrive 15 minutes early the first day so I can show you and your student around the school and answer any questions you may have.

All OVA students should continue to do their module work in BUZZ from the Fall semester, if they have not completed it. OVA's semester ends on January 24.

We are excited to announce Harbor Homeschool will be adding a (Kindergarten-5th grade) Hybrid program for the 2025-2026 school year!

It’s that time again! If you weren’t with Harbor around this time last year, I’m Jared, owner of Jared Terry Media, and I am so thankful and excited that Harbor invited me back to take your student’s yearbook photos again. Similar to last year, I want to give you an early opportunity to place an order for a physical or digital copy of your student’s yearbook photo.

First, picture day this school year will be on Thursday and Friday, February 13th and 14th, during normal school hours. Quite a while from now, but you can never be too prepared.

With that, I am offering physical and digital prints of your student's photos for purchase, just like last year! I'll be accepting orders until February 28th. Any orders after that date will be subjected to a late fee, or may not be fulfilled. If I am unable to fulfill the order, a full refund is guaranteed , but please try to place your orders before the 28th! If you would like to order either a physical print or the digital copy of your students photo, you can place your orders through the Square Online website I set up just for you! I'll also be able to take orders and payments at Harbor on the 13th and 14th. Just come down to the photo area and I'll be able to help you there.

In your order, please include your students name in the “Notes” section of the checkout cart. If you are ordering for more than one student, please make a separate order for each student. It makes things so much easier on my end!

We're excited to celebrate Valentine's Day with a fun activity for our students! Encourage your child to create a special Valentine’s mailbox or bag for the celebration. They can let their creativity run wild—decorating it however they like with colors, stickers, and personal touches. This will be a great way for them to collect all the Valentines from friends and staff during our festivities. We can't wait to see what they come up with!

They can place their box on the labeled tables (by grades) in the front lobby when they arrive that morning.

Here are the final counts for Valentine's Day on Thursday, February 13th, and Friday, February 14th. These are the number of Valentines you'll need to bring for your specific age group. However, feel free to bring extra cards to share with other friends or Harbor staff as well! 😍

Most of our students usually just sign their name on the Valentine without addressing it to anyone specific, and then they give a few to their closest friends. So, don't worry if you don't know everyone's name!

Thursday

Kindergarten: 8 students/ 2 teachers

1st-2nd Grade: 29 students.

3rd-5th Grade: 46 students.

6th-8th Grade: 29 students.

9th-12th Grade: 24 students.

Friday

Kindergarten: 7 students/ 2 teachers

1st-2nd Grade: 20 students.

3rd-5th Grade: 32 students.

6th-8th Grade: 17 students.

9th-12th: 12 students

If there is a snow day, we will notify parents via email and our Remind App*.

IMPORTANT: Harbor will close only if Dearborn Public Schools are closed for a snow day (not Oxford School District).

Invoices for the Winter semester were emailed out (to those who owe a balance). Kindly review the details, and if you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to reach out to me. Please email Amy at amy@harborhomeschool.org

Winter Tuition due dates:

20% of tuition must be paid by Jan 30.

Tuition must be PAID IN FULL by March 14.

Due to our overhead expenses, we do not give refunds on tuition if a student drops prior to the end of the semester.

Families with outstanding balances after week 7, will be unable to return to Harbor until balance is paid in full and/or will lose enrollment for the following semester.

April 17 & 18 - No School (possible snow day make up days)

May 5 - Last day of Game On

May 6 - Last day of Goldfish Swim

May 15 & 16 - Spring Showcase (Last day(s) of the school year)
