Roo Report - Week of 2/17/25

This week's Tison Roo Way Recipients do a fantastic job modeling what it means to be respectful, organized, and owning one's own behavior. We love celebrating our students and focusing on all the good they do each and every day. Congratulations to this week's winners!

We want to take a moment to recognize the 2024-2025 Tison Principal's Council. These students meet with Mr. Smith once per month to discuss positive and impactful changes that can be made to improve the overall experience of all students on campus.

• Ticket Cost - $5 per student for tickets purchased through 4/13/25.
• Beginning 4/14/25, tickets will increase to $7 per student.
• Ticket purchase closes 4/30/25 and no tickets will be sold at the door.

Rules & Expectations

• Only current/enrolled Tison students may attend.
• Dress code is enforced.
• Any student with ISS, OSS, or DAEP placements during the spring semester may not attend.
• Students with 4 or more ID warnings from 4/14 - 4/30 may not attend.
• Students with excessive tardies (10 or more) from 3/1 - 4/30 may not attend.
• There are no refunds issued.

We are excited to announce our three finalists for the 2024-2025 Tison Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Bollom, Mrs. Younger, and Ms. Bennett are all 6th grade teachers at Tison and they are some of the very best teachers you will find in any classroom across the country. We are beyond thankful to have all three of them at Tison. Next week, we will announce our Tison Teacher of the Year who come from this group. Our Tison students truly have fantastic educators in the classroom. Congratulations to these three for being nominated by their peers! For being the top three nominated, they received a bluetooth speaker, some candy, and an Amazon gift card! We love to celebrate our awesome teachers!

At Tison, our teachers follow one simple philosophy... Teach Like A Champion Today! They incorporate research-based instructional strategies and methods to grow students and drive their performance in the classroom. To celebrate, we gifted posters to our teachers as a simple reminder of what they do each and every day. Yes, we also gave them some treats to enjoy!
