Congratulations go to Whitney High School students Ethan Choi, Ethan Hui, Stanley Kim, Athreya Sririam, and Jaden Han for making it to the finals of the 2023-2024 Modeling the Future Challenge. This national scholarship challenge, a program of The Actuarial Foundation, gives high school students the chance to help predict the future and make recommendations. Student teams must complete a math modeling project and present it to a panel of actuary judges. After several steps, the initial pool of 680 high school juniors and seniors is now down to 15 teams. The Whitney High School team’s project is “An Analysis of Obesity and the Impact on the Labor Market in the United States.”
