Three Things to Know
First Day
Arrival and Dismissal
Early drop-off for MHS students is from 6:45-7 a.m. Students arriving between this time can enter MHS using Door 22 (ROTC Doors). After 7 a.m., all students will enter through the K-Gym Lobby doors. Breakfast is available beginning at 7 a.m. All students must be in their 1st-period classes by 7:40 a.m. Students arriving after 7:40 a.m. must enter the main office entrance to sign in.
MHS dismisses at 2:40 p.m. Students must leave campus unless they are participating in an activity/club/sport scheduled right after school.
FinalForms
If you have not yet done so, please log into your FinalForms account to review information, make any necessary changes, and sign off for the new school year. This quick process, which takes less than 10 minutes, is REQUIRED for all families. Also, make sure that the student signs off on their part of Final Forms.
All FinalForms must be completed by Monday, September 23. For safety reasons, students with incomplete forms after this date will not be allowed to attend school until their forms are complete.
Events & Reminders
Attendance Call Off
All absences should be called into MHS using the call-off line 440-748-2124. Select the option to leave a message for your child's absence (preferably before 9 am). Families of students who are not called off will get an automated call home at 9:15 am stating their child is not in school. Please refrain from calling the attendance office directly due to a large volume of calls that may not allow for a timely response.
MHS Bell Schedule
To view our full bell schedule, please follow this link. There will be a first day bell adjustement to allow extra time for chromebook handout. This does not impact the arrival and dismissal times for students.
Student Chromebooks
All MHS students will receive their Chromebooks during 1st period on the first day of school. Students are expected to charge their Chromebooks each night and take reasonable care of their device, charger, and Chromebook case.
Student Lockers
Lockers are issued based on student request. All students can sign up for a locker on the first day of school. An assistant principal will assign a locker to your child. Paper request forms will be available from your teachers on the first day. Students may also use the Locker Request Form if they want a locker anytime during the school year. Usually, winter weather and/or new sport seasons require students to bring more items to school that may require the use of a locker.
Upcoming Events
- MHS Picture Day: September 9 - See the link to Ripcho Studios here. Flyer link
- MHS Parade of Bands: September 21 (7-8 p.m.)
- Homecoming: September 28 (7-10 p.m. at MHS)
- All students attending the dance must have their Final Forms completed by this time.
School Fees Information
All fees for the 2024-25 school year will be available online in late October, and payments will not be accepted until they are posted. You may, however, pay any outstanding fees from previous school years right away, and partial payments are also welcome. Seniors must ensure all fees are paid in order to participate in Prom and graduation activities.
Midview Local Schools App - Rooms
As you may recall, we introduced our PK-12 teacher-to-parent communication tool, Rooms, last year. Integrated with the Midview Local Schools app, Rooms makes it easy for parents and guardians to connect with their child’s classroom and teacher!
We’re excited to share that staff will be active in Rooms beginning the first week of school! Please be patient as we iron out any initial issues, and don’t worry if you can’t see all of your student’s classes right away! Returning families can log in as usual, while new families will receive an email or text invitation with instructions on how to join. If you haven't already, please download the free Midview Local Schools App from the Apple App Store or Google Play!
Library Cards for Midview Students
Exciting news! Your child will soon receive a FREE student library card from the Grafton-Midview Public Library. This initiative, in partnership with the Midview Local School District, aims to enhance access to educational and recreational materials, as research shows that library cardholders often perform better in school.
The card allows your child to borrow books, PG/G movies, music, and audiobooks, request library item deliveries to their school, access digital resources for homework, and register for library events. Note that the card has a limit of 5 items at once and cannot be used for equipment, games, kits or other objects. Families will be financially responsible for borrowed items and should monitor the items their child(ren) checks out. If you wish to opt out of this program, please fill out the following form.
