I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and spent time with those that you love. I spent time in College Station with my parents and family and enjoyed all of the many activities around the renewed rivalry between Texas A&M and University of Texas. Honestly, I am writing this before I know the outcome from Saturday’s game, so you will either see a really happy Aggie Monday morning at carline, or one that is disappointed in the outcome from the big game! Either way, I don’t take the opportunity to make memories with my family for granted.

Thank you for all of the friends and family that came for our Friendsgiving lunch! We had a tremendous turnout! I promise that we will have this date set early in the year next year and will plan on an even larger turnout! Parent participation in the school setting is a large indicator of a student’s success, so please know that we value your partnership.

December is a BUSY month, both at home and at school. Students will be completing their middle of the year (MOY) testing. We will be looking closely at this data to determine how much progress they have made academically and also develop plans to support their learning for the second semester. Please help us at school by making sure students are at school each day unless they are sick. While it is elementary school, students who miss frequently develop gaps in learning that continue to create challenges as they get older in more challenging courses because their foundational skills are not solid.

Thank you so much for supporting MacTown Miracles! Your generosity in donating cans is making a huge impact on our community. Every can collected helps us provide for those in need, and we couldn’t do it without you.

Remember, the grade that collects the most cans will win a Glow Party—a fun celebration to cap off all your hard work. The winning grade level will be announced the week of December 16th and the glow party will happen that same week! Keep those cans coming, and let’s make this the most successful drive yet. • The BACK entrance is locked at 8:00 am. All visitors or tardy students must enter through the front door.
• Students coming in after 9:15 am are marked absent.
