Hello, Holloman Middle School! My name is Julie Carroll, and I am the new Military and Family

Life Counselor (MFLC) here at HMS. I am a licensed professional counselor with 25 years of

experience serving children, youth, and families, and providing workforce development and

behavioral health related training in a variety of settings. My passions are building relationships,

finding strengths-based approaches, and identifying simple ways to handle tough challenges. I

have lived in Las Cruces, New Mexico for 11 years with my husband, who is a professor at

NMSU; our teenager, who is a senior at Las Cruces High School; and our 2 adorable corgis-

Rosie and Bailey. What am I most looking forward to here at HMS? You! I can’t wait to get to

know each of you, and learn how I can best support our staff, students, and community.
