News and Events You Can Use
No Place for Hate Lesson
Our Ridgeview United committee of SGC has planned and implemented two sets of “Identity Iceberg” lessons and activities in 3rd period Compass last month and this month. To encourage celebration of our diversity, the lesson had students and teachers share their iceberg of visible and invisible characteristics in a safe and accepting landscape.
Jr. Beta Club Project Showcase
Last night, our Jr. Beta Club students presented their service projects in the media center. Students have been working hard on a service project of their choice all year long in an effort to understand and make a difference in our local and/or surrounding community. Students set up a display and talked to parents, family and visitors about their service projects.

Georgia Milestones Testing
Georgia Milestones testing in Middle School is April 24 through May 5. The tests measure knowledge and skills in language arts and mathematics for all students. 8th graders have additional tests in science and social studies. Milestones tests provide critical information about achievement and readiness for the next level of learning. With the absence of significant testing data from the last two years, this year’s scores will establish a new baseline for schools and the district. Participation is crucial. The district expects all students in grades 3-8 to participate. Thank you for helping us ensure a high rate of student participation.

All money raised and donated will go directly toward the 2023 eighth grade end-of-year festivities. You can pick up your sign the first week of May during carpools. Details to follow.
