These summaries are not meant to replace minutes. The minutes for each meeting are approved and posted after the next regularly scheduled meeting. Statement Regarding Live Stream:

We regret to inform the community that the May 16 regular board meeting was not live streamed or recorded. Most of the meeting audio was captured, which you can listen to HERE. As always, detailed meeting minutes will be available after they are approved by the Board.

Superintendent Melissa Kaczkowski extended congratulations to Hadley Band Director Mrs. Samantha Tribley who has won the 2022 Chicagoland Outstanding Music Educator Award from Quinlan & Fabish Music Company. CLICK HERE or below to watch a special video celebrating Mrs. Tribley's award.

The State of Technology in District 41

Director of Technology and Innovation Andrew Peterson presented an update about the workings of the Technology Department over this school year. He also shared information about trends in education technology and cyber security.

Superintendent's Report

Additional Mental Health Supports

Superintendent Kaczkowski provided information about a possible mental health support program District 41 is conidering. The district is looking to partner with the Chestnut Health organization that provides a licensed clinician who would work with children in 2nd grade and up. She also explained that she is in conversation with the NAMI local organization about more comprehensive services to students.

Student Board Member Recognition

Dr. Kaczkowski thanked the student Board members Angela Jaeger and Amana Mariam for their service this school year.

Recognition of Dr. Katie McCluskey

Dr. Kaczkowski thanked Dr. McCluskey for her service to District 41 and wished her well as she moves on to lead another district as superintendent. Board members also wished her well.

Discussion
Technology Purchase: Promethean Panel Purchase

Mr. Peterman reminded the Board about previous information shared and

discussions about the pilot taking place of Promethean Panels in 18 classrooms throughout the district. Mr. Peterson shared that the district is ready to move forward with the full implementation of the panels. Board members asked questions and engaged in discussion about the process.

Supplemental Pay

Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources Marci Conlin presented information about two new supplemental pay proposals for after school student clubs. These are replacements of clubs and not adding additional clubs. Board members asked questions about the process for requesting supplemental pay club sponsor positions.
