Lutherville Lab Report
What's gone down & what's coming up at the leopards' lair.
November 22, 2024
We had a wonderful week at The Lab. It is always a joy to welcome our community into our school and we had a full week of that with American Education Week visitations and Conference Day. In this season of Thanksgiving, please accept my gratitude for your partnership in support of your child -- whether that was in person at AEW, during a conference, or the love and support you give your child at home. It all matters and we are grateful for it all.
This week also concluded our Read-a-Thon! We are so proud of our Leopards who met their fundraising goal and SMASHED their reading minutes goal! We celebrated on this morning's announcements and I look forward to receiving some well-earned pies to the face in December from some of our top performers!
Looking ahead to next week, we are excited for a PTA event on Wednesday, which is a 1:05 dismissal. Our students will have an opportunity to learn a little about the idea of entrepreneurship and have the chance to work on developing and pitching a product. This general introduction will happen in classrooms for ~45 minutes and additional opportunities for students with interest to explore more will follow. Perhaps their experience with that is something to share at Thanksgiving!
We wish all of our families a great Thanksgiving break and cherished time with loved ones. Again we dismiss at 1:05 on Wednesday and look forward to welcoming our Leopards return at 9:05 on Monday, December 2nd.
In partnership,
-Mr. McComb
Calendar Reminders:
11/27 - 1:05 dismissal, start of Thanksgiving Break
12/2 - 9:05 Reopen from Thanksgiving Break

12/16 - Chick-Fil-A Spirit Night
While students in Ms. Conley's 5th grade await the start of morning announcements, they enjoyed a read aloud of Cheaper by the Dozen.
Lost & Found items need a home!
We are grateful that some of this week's visitors were able to reclaim a few lost items. We have many more! When the Savers fundraiser comes around, we will be donating items still in the Lost and Found to the project, so please do look at this pictures closely or check the Lost and Found if you are visiting to pickup or drop off. It is located in the cafeteria.
Kindergarten got outside this morning for a few minutes to enjoy the first flakes of the season. 😃
