Principal Message - Kanika A. Burks
Good Evening MCP: Lola Rowe North Families,
The MAP Testing Window officially opened on Monday, September 11, 2023. Our K5 - 8th grade scholars will complete MAP Testing on Thursday, September 14, 2023. Ms. Dominik, our 7th Grade Educational Assistant, has provided our 7th-grade scholars with MAP Motivation Messages this week. Check out the sweet Monday MAP Motivation Messages above. If you are a 7th grade parent, ask your scholars about the Tuesday MAP Motivation from Ms. Dominik!!!
As of today, we have 509 scholars enrolled at the Lola Rowe North!!! Our year-to-date attendance average is 94.99%!!!! The grade level with the highest attendance in the building is K4 with 98.63% year to date. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication to ensuring that your scholars are at school daily.
There are also 100 MCP3 scholars attending our campus!!! That is a total of 609 scholars in our building, plus the children who attend the YMCA Daycare!!! To ensure the safety of everyone at the Lola Rowe Campus, we have to be respectful of each other at all times. Our MCP3 scholars are dropped off and picked up in our campus parking lot. Our K4 - 8th-grade scholars are dropped off between 7:30 am - 7:55 am and picked up between 3:10 pm - 3:30 pm on 14th Street. If you are dropping off a scholar between 7:00 am - 7:25 am, pull up to the door, let your scholar(s) out, make sure they are let into the building and then continue driving. If your scholar(s) is/are not ready, pull into a parking space and then walk them safely to the door. Please do not block the flow of traffic by putting your car in park or attempt to create two lanes. We all have responsibilities and time commitments. Plan your time accordingly when dropping off and picking up your scholars. Our scholars' safety is our priority!! Let's work together, remain patient and exemplify respect during our morning arrival and our afternoon dismissal process.
If your scholar participates in an afterschool activity, please pick your scholar up on 14th Street at the activity's designated end time.
Remember the office is closed between 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm to support our dismissal process. If there is an emergency, please call my work cell phone (the number is below). If you have any questions, please contact me.

Middle School News
Middle School Uniform Extension
We want to inform you of an important update regarding the deadline for obtaining our Middle School scholars' Monday and Wednesday professional attire. After carefully considering various factors, we have decided to extend the deadline for scholars to acquire their professional attire.
The new deadline for obtaining the Monday and Wednesday professional attire will be moved from September 6th to October 2nd. This decision has been made in response to the unexpected delay in the time for parents to place orders and receive the attire. Our primary goal is to ensure that all scholars have ample time to acquire their attire and are well-prepared for the upcoming schedule.
We understand that ordering and receiving the attire has taken longer than anticipated, and we want to ensure that this extension allows everyone to plan and obtain the necessary clothing adequately. We believe that extending the deadline will assist in alleviating any potential concerns and ensuring that all scholars have the appropriate professional attire.
We apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to provide the best experience for our scholars. If you have any questions or require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
