2025-2026 Registration
Registration season is quickly approaching! Starting next week, counselors will work with students to select classes for next year. Check out this timeline with important dates:
January 27 - 31: Counselors will visit English classrooms to talk about classes and how to register. Students will receive their registration sheets.
February 2-6: Counselors will be available during lunch to answer registration questions.
February 10-11: Counselors will visit with students during their math class to collect registration sheets and review class selections.
Seniors
Community Service
Seniors, community service hours are due soon! If your hours are not submitted by March 24, 2025 this will prevent you from graduating. Students who plan to letter in community service also need to have their 100 hours finished and their application submitted by March 24, 2025. Helpful information can be found on our website.
FAFSA Is Open
If you haven't already, we recommend filling out the FAFSA application as soon as possible in order to receive the best financial aid possible.
Mid-Year Transcript Requests
If a college you are applying to requires a mid year transcript, please come into the counseling office to fill out a transcript request form. There is no fee for mid year transcripts.
Gap Year Fair
Arapahoe High School is hosting the USA Gap Year Fair on Sunday, Feb 2, from 1-4pm. There will be a presentation from 1-2pm featuring a Gap Year Counselor and a local College Admissions Officer, followed by a self-paced fair from 2-4pm. Please register here to reserve your spot.
College Scholarship Resources
If you are looking for additional scholarships, we do our best to keep the below link updated with RCHS specific scholarships. We also recommend using Naviance as a search tool for scholarships that might apply to you. You can head to your Naviance home page > Colleges > Scholarships & Money > National Scholarship Search. Once there you can filter from the 3.5 Million Scholarships offered to find ones that you might qualify for.
HRCA Community Scholarship
Created in 2003, the Highlands Ranch Community Scholarship Fund (HRCSF), a 501(c)3 organization, is in its 21st year of providing postsecondary education scholarships to Highlands Ranch students who have demonstrated well-rounded participation in their school or community through volunteerism and service hours.
Previously, 20 scholarships were awarded to select applicants. In January 2024, the HRCA Board of Directors approved five additional scholarship awards for a total of 25 $2,500 scholarships to be granted to Highlands Ranch high school seniors.
All scholarship awards are granted on an equal opportunity basis, and we encourage all Highlands Ranch seniors to apply today. Guidelines and information are as follows:
2025 Scholarship Important Dates
- Friday, Jan. 24: Applications are live.
- Friday, March 7: Application packets are due no later than 5 p.m.
- April and May: Applicants are notified of their award status.
- Tuesday, May 20: Award recipient celebration.

Junior Meetings
Junior meeting sign ups will take place Feb 10-11th during math class. These mandatory meetings will cover credit checks, service hours and planning for post graduate options.
SAT Test Prep Course
There will be another high-quality SAT prep course hosted at the University of Denver by a Harvard grad. There is also a live online version of the course. Both courses are open to Rock Canyon Juniors and Seniors.

Wings Over The Rockies-Flight Training Scholarships
Wings Over the Rockies is thrilled to offer a limited number of flight training scholarships* to Colorado students (ages 15-19). The funds have been generously provided by the Ray Foundation and offer students an opportunity to work towards Private Pilot Certification in gliders or single engine airplanes.

New Year, New Habits; Tips to Reduce Stress and Anxiety for Second Semester
- Stay on top of homework assignments to reduce stress later in the semester, use Access to complete assignments and get help from teachers.
