Happy Monday, SFiAM Families! ๐
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
This Thursday, teachers will begin entering grades, so please remind your child to check that all their assignments are submitted and to reach out for help if theyโre struggling. We want to make sure every student has the support they need to succeed!
February is Black History Month, a time to honor and celebrate the achievements, contributions, and resilience of Black leaders, past and present. We encourage you to talk with your child about this important month and explore ways to celebrate and learn together.
Thereโs a lot happening this weekโfrom Hundredth Day of School celebrations to our Valentineโs Day Dance on Friday! Please encourage your child to participate in these fun activities. The more involved they are, the more connected and successful they tend to be!
Wishing you all a fantastic week! Please donโt hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. ๐โจ
News from the Cafeteria: New Point of Service System
Exciting News!
Starting this Monday, our cafeteria will be introducing a new point-of-service system to make mealtime even smoother. For now, after receiving their food, all students will need to press #9 and Enter on the keypad.
Donโt worryโour staff will be there to guide and support students every step of the way! In the future, students will be able to scan their IDs instead, and weโll be sure to let everyone know when that change takes effect.
Please remind students that there are plenty of friendly adults available to help if they have any questions. We appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation as we roll out this new system!
Attendance Update: Let's Celebrate 100 Days of School!
I've got 99 problems, but attendance ain't one! ๐ซ๐ฏ
๐ Monday marks the 99th day of school! ๐
Join us for a surprise lunch eventโbecause showing up is worth celebrating! ๐ You might even stumble upon a free dress pass if youโre lucky!
Then, get ready for the big 1-0-0!
๐ Tuesday is the 100th day of school! ๐
Be one of the first 100 students to arrive and score a delicious doughnut! ๐ฉ Plus, letโs bring some color to campusโrock your favorite tie-dye attire! ๐
Attendance matters, and we can't wait to celebrate with YOU! ๐
Cell Phone Policy-Yondr Pouches
To support a focused learning environment, Yondr pouches will be used for students who need extra help remembering SFiAMโs cell phone policy. These students will store their phone in a secure pouch, which will be unlocked at the end of the school day. If there is an emergency, a staff member can unlock the pouch for them.
All students are expected to keep their phones put away from the moment they arrive on campus until the end of the school day. Thank you for helping us create a distraction-free space for learning and connection!
Join the Fun at the Valentineโs Day Dance! โค๏ธ๐ถ
Encourage your child to attend the Valentineโs Day Dance this Friday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM! This free event is a fun, safe, and welcoming space for students to celebrate, make memories, and enjoy time with their friends.
We love seeing students participate in school activities, and there will be plenty of exciting things to do! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. We hope your child can join in the fun! โค๏ธ๐ถโจ
Friendly Reminder: Early Dismissal on Friday, February 14th
Students will be dismissed at 12:45 PM on Friday, February 14th. Please take note of our new minimum day dismissal time of 12:45 PM moving forward.
Thank you for your support in ensuring a smooth transition at dismissal! ๐
