OLVCS Updates
April 14, 2025
Dear OLVCS Families,
This update is early due to the short week, and that tomorrow is April 15th, not only tax day, but the first day students may wear shorts, and girls no longer have to wear their leggings.
However, we will continue to require leggings to be worn on days we attend Mass. Just as the boys are expected to wear pants on these days, we ask the girls to wear leggings with their skirts to maintain a sense of equity and reverence during Mass.
We will make the change in the handbook this summer, but please note this update starts on Friday, April 25th.
Below is a repeat of uniform Key Elements. I am requesting your assistance in ensuring our students’ general appearance is consistent with the policies we put in place to reinforce the values core to our school community. In particular please check the length of pants, skirts and jumpers.
If purchasing new pieces of the uniform presents a financial burden, please let us know, we can help with the purchase. Please place your receipt in an envelope with your name and send it to school for reimbursement.
We will have a Dollar Dress Down Day, April 24th for A Soldier's Hand in memory of Nate Salada, Mrs Salada’s son, who passed away in December. See details below. As a reminder, Dollar Dress Down Day donations are optional.
Jared Boxes were due today, if you still need to send it in, please do so before Wednesday at 10:00. A Geisinger rep will pick up all boxes at that time.
Wishing you a meaningful Holy Week filled with reflection and peace, and an Easter full of hope and joy.
Make it a Great Day,
Samantha
