NO SCHOOL FRIDAY, MAY 10th!
Message From Our Principal
Bay Harbor Families,
At the end of each day, I have the opportunity to go outside and interact with families during dismissal time. I enjoy this opportunity to connect…especially when the weather is nice. I continue to feel very lucky that we have the school that we do where students, staff, and parents all trust and work together. This isn’t an accident and not something I take for granted. Thank you for your continued partnership. For example, this week is Staff Appreciation Week and thanks to our wonderful Bay Harbor Parents, our staff have been showered with appreciation and sweets. Thank you!
This is the time of year where I am asked, “How many more days left?”. I am not joking when I tell people that I don’t know, I’m not counting, but I am making each day count. Hang in there, this is a busy month for all.
Leadership Day at Bay Harbor was a huge success. Our students continue to amaze us in the way they live the Leadership Habits that we teach and focus on! Please continue to ask your child about their leadership work and they can also be leaders at home (not just school). A link to a video from Leadership Day will be sent out soon.
On Friday, I will be sending a Seesaw message with an annual survey. This is called the MRA survey (Measurable Results Survey) and is a key monitoring part of our leadership work at Bay Harbor. The MRA survey should take you less than 5 minutes but the information we gain from it is valuable for our continued growth and goal setting.
Enjoy the Sunshine,
Tony Ebeling, BH Principal
TICK SEASON
BE ON THE LOOKOUT - This time of year our classes spend more time outside and with that we sometimes see wood ticks make their way in with a student.
Announcing Bay Harbor’s 3rd and 4th Grade Track Meet!
Our event will take place at Idlewild Park on Wednesday, May 22nd. 3rd graders will begin their competition at 10:00 and 4th graders will start at 1:15.
The track meet is an opportunity for students to showcase talents, benefit from physical exercise and have fun. It is also a great time to spend quality recreational time with and in support of classmates. Prior to the meet students will practice during their physical education class and will select three events to participate in. If the 800 meter run is one of their choices they will be allowed to select four events in total.
The event choices include:
200 meter run
Shot Put
400 meter run
Discus
800 meter run
High Jump
60 meter hurdles
Long Jump
All students who choose a running event will receive a ribbon immediately after finishing the race. Field event ribbons will be awarded to the top 8 finishers in each group (3rd/4th grade boys/girls).
Thank you for supporting this worthwhile event.

THE GIVING TREE NEWSLETTER:
The Giving Tree would like to thank you for your support of the 16th Annual The Giving Tree Taste of the Villages and Auction. Your generous donations, attendance and sponsorships allowed us to raise record funds to assist families in need! We are truly grateful for the many businesses and individuals who were event and food sponsors, donated auction items, made monetary donations, or participated in the auction. Your willingness to give allows The Giving Tree to continue to branch out, meeting the needs of hundreds of children in the Howard-Suamico School District.
This month we are collecting toothbrushes and toothpaste for our 2024 Back-to-School Event. Please feel free to send donations with your students to put in the collections bins/carts near the main office of school. Items can also be dropped off during school hours.
