How to Report an Absence
Log into Infinite Campus/Parent Portal
In the upper left corner (the 3 lines) click that for the Menu
Select More
Click Absence Request and fill out the form
Click SUBMIT (located at the bottom of the page)
- The Attendance office will be notified and process the request for an Absence or Early Release.
- For ALL Doctor appointment's families MUST provide a doctor note to excuse these absences.
- This can be emailed to Jeannie Meneses-Attendance our faxed number 303-982-4201 or your student can drop it off at the attendance window when they return from their appointment.
Pre-Arranged Absence Form - Students MUST see their appropriate grade level Assistant Principal for approval before students request teacher signatures.
9th and 11th Grade Class Meetings Next Week
Next Wednesday August 28th, 9th graders and 11th graders will have a class meeting during Homeroom. The 9th grade class meeting will take place in the large gym and the 11th grade class meeting will take place in the auditorium. Students: please go to Homeroom first so teachers can take attendance!
Student Code of Conduct
Parents, please review the Student Code of Conduct with your child. If they haven’t signed the acknowledgment form yet, ask them to log in using their Jeffco student ID and complete the form.

State Assessment Score Reports
Student Insights is a resourceful tool for K-12 families and students in grades 6-12 to view current and historical assessment data and plans that are applicable to your student.
2023-24 CMAS student score reports are now available electronically in Student Insights. Our school will also be sharing paper reports with families at the first Parent/Teacher conference (date TBD) at GHS. Paper reports will also be available for your student to pick up from the counseling office beginning October 2024.

Eleventh Grade Students and Parents : PSAT/NMSQT October, 10th
Eleventh-grade students will have the opportunity to take the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) at Golden High School on the morning of Thursday, October 10th. We highly encourage eleventh-grade students to take the exam as it prepares them for the SAT and provides opportunities for scholarships, college searches and Advanced Placement (AP) potential.
Please complete this registration form by August 28th, if you would like your eleventh-grade student to take the PSAT/NMSQT.
Senior Cap & Gown Orders
Schedule Change Requests due August 28
To request a change, students must come into Counseling to fill out a schedule change request form by August 28, 3:15 p.m. Phone calls and emails from parents and students to request changes will not be considered.
Annual Family Registration
All families must complete the annual registration process by Friday, September 13. Please call the registrar at 303-982-4163 if you need help logging into Campus.
Golden Gallop
Golden Gallop is Sunday, Sept 22nd
Golden’s biggest annual race will take place for the 18th year running! We look forward to seeing everyone on our same great course through downtown under the Golden 'Welcome' arch, with the start and finish at Golden High School. There are options for everyone including your K9 companion (5k, 10k and Kids Fun Run)! The Golden Gallop is the annual fundraiser for the Golden Schools Foundation, which provides educational funding for our 7 Golden neighborhood schools. Register today at Goldengallop.com!
Interested in volunteering? We can't put on this special event without our amazing volunteers! Click here to volunteer! Volunteers receive a FREE T-shirt and we are happy to certify the volunteer hours you put in. This is especially helpful for students.
Parent Teacher Organization (PTA)
The PTA meets the second Tuesday of the month. If you would like to be part of our PTA, please go to the PTA website in order to join. All are welcomed.

Stage Right Production Presents Alice in Wonderland (William Glennon, Dramatic Publishing), a high fashion fall into the looking glass September 5th and 6th at 7pm and September 7th at 4pm. Join us for a family friendly, comedic evening as our varsity theatre students present their work.
