Dear parents and caregivers,
What a busy week .... parent information sessions, swimming lessons, celebrating St Elizabeth’s Feast Day and finally a colour run!
Today we came together as a whole school for the Feast Day of St Elizabeth of Hungary, the patron saint of our school and to conclude the ten-year celebrations since the opening of the school. Father Francis joined us to celebrate a lovely mass that reflected the life and values of St Elizabeth. St Elizabeth’s life offers us a profound lesson in compassion, selflessness, and the importance of reaching out to those who are less fortunate and in need. It’s a lesson that resonates with us today. In a world that can often feel rushed and focused inward, St. Elizabeth’s example invites us to pause, look around, and ask, "How can I make a positive difference in the lives of others?". Her Feast Day is not only a time to remember her life, it is a day to inspire our actions in the present and shape our intentions for the future. It reminds us that each of us has the power to bring light and hope to those around us. Today we also stopped and celebrated Mrs Manov, Mrs Dimond and Mrs Martino who have committed themselves to St Elizabeth’s Catholic Primary School for the past ten years and to recognise students who live out the values of St Elizabeth in everything they do. I would like to congratulate the recipients of these awards. Following mass, the students enjoyed a shared morning tea on the grassed area outside the hall. The celebrations continued with a fabulous and entertaining Colour Run.
What an incredible afternoon we had at our Colour Run! The air was filled with laughter, bright splashes of colour, and pure joy as our students dashed through clouds of vibrant powder, turning our school grounds into a rainbow playground. It was amazing to see everyone come together, students, staff and families, sharing in the fun and excitement. The colour run was not just about the thrill of the race, it was a celebration of community, energy, and spirit. A massive thank you to Mrs Didlock, Mrs Dimond, Mr Glenn and our wonderful P&F volunteers for making this afternoon unforgettable! Now it is time for everyone to bring in the money that they have raised so that plans to extend the playground equipment can begin!
Finally, it is always lovely to start the week welcoming new families to our wonderful school. Our Early Years team held information and orientation sessions for our 2025 Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten students which were very well supported by our families. The pure joy and excitement on the faces of our youngest students was heartwarming and the very reason why we do what we do! Thank you to Mrs Fernandez and the Early Years team for organising these lovely sessions.
Wishing you all a lovely weekend.
God bless,
Rebecca Clarke

Remembrance Day
On Monday, our Year Three class led us in a moving Remembrance Day Service. All students read clearly and sang with such emotion and respect. They truly captured the spirit of the day, showing deep reverence for those who sacrificed so much for the freedoms we enjoy today.
Remembrance Day is a time to honour the bravery and selflessness of the men and women who served in conflicts, and Year Three helped us all reflect on the importance of peace, gratitude, and the lessons of history. Their respectful approach reminded us that the freedoms we sometimes take for granted are the result of great sacrifice and courage. Thank you to Year Three, Mrs Golding, Mrs Fitzgerald, Mrs Martino and Mrs Serraino for preparing such a touching ceremony. Thank you to the parents and grandparents who also attended our Remembrance Day Service.
Kindy and Pre Primary Baptism Liturgy
A big thank you to our Kindy and Pre-Primary staff for preparing a beautiful liturgy on Baptism last Thursday. The children’s understanding and participation were truly heartwarming. We also appreciate all the parents and grandparents who attended, as the children always love seeing their families at these special celebrations. Baptism reminds us of our journey in the Christian faith, symbolising purification and it was wonderful to celebrate this special time with our students and their families.
2025 Early Years Orientation Day
A big thank you to all the parents, grandparents, and future students who attended our Kindy and Pre-Kindy Orientation sessions this week. We were thrilled with the fantastic turnout, with 103 attending the Kindy session and 60 joining the Pre Kindy session. The children were well-behaved and had a great time playing in the Early Years Play Area following the ind=formation sessions. A special thank you to the 2025 Kindy Team, Chloe Grant our school Social Worker and P&F Representatives for preparing such an engaging and informative session for our parents and grandparents. Your efforts made the day a success and helped create a warm and welcoming start for our new students.
Altar Server Training - St Elizabeth's Students

ATTENTION: ALL DAD'S ... 2025 Dad's Expressions of Interest
The P&F are seeking expressions of interest from DAD’s who are keen to form a special committee to arrange an event for Dad’s to spend time with their children at a school event.
We need at least four (4) Dad volunteers to come together and work as a team to decide what you would like to do, when you would like to do it and oversee the running of the event.
Possible ideas include;
- After school sports event with a sausage sizzle
- Games afternoon inc tug of war, egg and spoon race etc
- Movie night in the school hall
- Campout on the school grounds
If this is something you would like to be a part of, please email the P&F directly at pandfstelizabeths@gmail.com by 3rd November 2024.
Thank you for supporting the P&F!
Dear Parents and Guardians,
The City of Wanneroo is reaching out to ask for your help in making our roads safer for students in the City of Wanneroo. Your valuable feedback is crucial to our efforts to improve road safety and promote walking and cycling to school in your local area.
We're conducting a survey to better understand the challenges and find solutions to create safer environments for our children to get to school.
Please take a few minutes to complete the survey at: https://yoursay.wanneroo.wa.gov.au/projects/your-move-school-crossings-research
The survey asks the name of the student, but if you prefer not to share this information, simply enter "N/A" in that field.
Your input will help us create safer routes for our students. The survey will be open from the 4 November to the 1 December.
Thank you for your time and support.

If you have any questions, please reach out.
Kind regards
Doug
