Christmas Spirit Week
The last week of the term (12/16-12/20) is our Christmas Spirit Week! Dress up in the following themes to get candy from the student council at lunch and make sure to participate in the daily lunch activities to win prizes.
Monday, 12/16 - Christmas Pajamas
Tuesday, 12/17 - Ugly Sweaters (contest at lunch)
Wednesday, 12/18 - Wear red and green
Thursday, 12/19 - Wear Christmas socks and hats
Friday, 12/10 - Anything Christmas-themed
Lost and Found
Our lost and found getting really full! Have your student check if they are missing something. It is available in the library daily and in the commons on Fridays. We are going to donate whatever is still in the lost and found to Tabitha's Way during Christmas Break.
Closed Campus
Salem Jr High is a closed campus. This means students are NOT permitted to leave campus during lunch or any other time during school hours unless checked out by a parent/guardian in person. Students who leave campus during school hours with receive detention and an admin will call home!
Students of the Month
Congratulations to our December students of the month which were selected by our history department. Joy Dayley, Tabi Haskell, Gabe Semadeni, Olivia Hansen, Sadee Nelson, and Dayton Wright were celebrated this month for being kind and excellent history students!
Career Day
Salem Jr. High will be having a Career Day for students in March 2023. We are looking for presenters from a wide variety of careers. If you or someone you know would be interested in being a presenter for Career Day, please email jake.jones@nebo.edu for more information. Thanks!

Americorp
Americorp (STEM Action Center) is looking for 44 individuals that are good in math and willing to tutor students that are 2 or more grade levels behind in math. Here is the information that I know about:
Benefits for Members:
- A living stipend equating to approximately $15/hour.
- An education award upon completion of service, bringing the total benefit to about $18/hour.
- The opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be able to work in the United States.
- Must pass a background check.
- Must be willing to show up, care deeply about kids, and bring a positive attitude.
