It's time for Prime Time!! Prime Time is our grant funded after school activities that are provided here at Galindo and are TOTALLY FREE!! After school extra curricular activities are so good for children. There are many benefits of participation including:

• Social and emotional development
  

  Students can learn to form relationships, express themselves, and manage conflicts. They can also meet others who share their interests and develop a sense of community.

• Academic performance
  

  Students can develop good time management skills by balancing academics with other commitments.

• Self-esteem
  

  Students can boost their confidence and improve their capabilities by doing well in activities they are passionate about.

• Life skills
  

  Students can learn essential life skills that will benefit them beyond school.

• Mental health
  

  Students can interact with their peers in a positive way and stay physically active, which are both key factors in mental health.

  
  

Be sure to turn your child's Prime Time application in on Tuesday, October 8th so they can be involved in a club at Galindo! Registration will begin at 7:05a in the Grizzly Dinning Hall and is done on a first come first serve basis.

Tennis Shoes: Wear them EVERY DAY!! Our students go to PE and recess every day and we need them in closed toed shoes (NOT CROCS OR SANDALS). The PE coaches appreciate it!

St. David's Dental Van: The van is coming to Galindo to give FREE dental services. Sign up here. Services start Monday! Talk to Melanie Wright for more information.

PTA Meeting: Join the Galindo PTA to help prep for our Fall Carnival on October 25th! The meeting is Monday after school at 3:30p in Ms. Melanie's room.

Grizzly Groceries: Our Grizzly Grocery Store is up and running!! The hours for this week are:

Tuesday 9:00 - 11:00

Friday: 12:00 - 2:00

We get a new shipment every other Thursday!

Parent Chat: Join Ms. Melanie Thursday at 7:45 to learn about all the exciting things happening this fall at Galindo including how to set up your own library account to check out books!! There will be light refreshments!

CAC meeting: Join us to give your input, ideas, and advice to make our school the best it can be. We meet each month on a Thursday! Join us this week at 3:30p on Thursday, October 10th in room M1
