A Message from Our Principal
Dear Farnham Families,
Welcome back from winter break! We hope you had a restful and joyful time with your loved ones, filled with special moments and memories. As we return to school, we are thrilled to see our Farnham family together again and ready for the exciting opportunities that 2025 holds.
Our focus remains on maintaining a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for every child. We are committed to fostering a love for learning and empowering our students to be their best selves both academically and socially. Our staff has been working diligently to prepare for the remainder of the school year, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with you in supporting your child’s success.
A gentle reminder as we resume school: we ask that students keep their toys and personal fidgets at home. While we understand how precious these items may be to your child, bringing them to school poses the risk of them being lost or broken, which can lead to unnecessary disappointment. Rest assured, our classrooms are equipped with tools and strategies to support focus and engagement during the school day.
We’re excited about the wonderful experiences and growth that lie ahead, from engaging lessons and enriching activities to meaningful connections within our Farnham family. Your partnership is invaluable in making our school a positive and thriving environment. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education. Let’s make 2025 one to remember!
Be well,
Amy O'Hehir
Farnham Principal

Parent Opportunities
Living with Teens and Social Media Thursday, January 16 | 5:00 p.m. PT / 8:00 p.m. ET (One-hour live webinar | Free but registration required) Teens have always pushed boundaries—it's part of growing up. But today's families are increasingly concerned about what they can't see as easily: their teens' tech and social media use. While risky behaviors are developmentally normal, today's challenges are unique. As parents, how can we protect our teens and manage their mistakes, especially when it comes to technology? In this live webinar, Common Sense's Sue Thotz will be joined by Dr. Lisa Damour and Christopher Pepper for an insightful conversation on how social media intersects with the teen experience. They'll share practical, time-tested strategies and tips to help you navigate the risks of constant online presence and support your teen in this digital age. This webinar is ideal for parents and caregivers with kids who use social media, but everyone is welcome. All questions submitted at registration will be shared with the panelists, and there will also be a live chat.
Can't make it live? You can still register to receive the recording afterward.
Free Online Courses
The Cambrian School District is proud to collaborate with Fresno State University to offer free online courses for our parent community. This innovative partnership focuses on building community capacity through engagement, involvement, and professional development. Through these courses, participants are empowered to explore new socioeconomic opportunities, equipping them with skills to contribute meaningfully to their families, schools, communities, and beyond. Together, we are fostering a stronger, more resilient community.
Registration for Spring 2025 courses (starting in February and March) are now open for registration. For more detail information about the courses and how to register, please click on the following resources below:
Cambrian School District is pleased to offer all students complimentary snack at morning recess and lunch meals at lunch recess. Meals will be available for pickup in the cafeteria during scheduled meal periods. Please consider taking advantage of our FREE school meals by clicking here and signing up. It extends your grocery budget, saves time planning and preparing meals, and is comforting and familiar for kids to have school meals. In addition, every meal served is reimbursed by the USDA and funds go toward Child Nutrition staff wages. Please note that you are not taking food away from someone who needs it more – we have plenty to go around!
