YOUR PRESENCE IS POWERFUL!
Addressing chronic absence is a key component of improving graduation rates, increasing academic achievement and giving young people the best chance at success in their adult life. Join us in reminding all of our students that their presence is powerful! Being present each and every day at school matters!
October is SelfAwareness Month
Greenfield Public Schools' October focus on social and emotional learning is Self-Awareness. One of the key components of self-awareness is mindfulness. Mindfulness is paying attention on purpose to the present moment. Help us model for students how to intentionally choose to focus our attention on what is happening in the moment and enjoy being present.

Athlete of the Week: Dylan Breiwick
Coach Richard says Greenfield Cross Country runner Dylan Breiwick displays great leadership amongst his teammates. He pushes hard at every practice and encourages others to push past their limits on a daily basis. He not only takes the time to work with the top runners during practice but also the runners that need a little more support whilst working to improve his skill in the process. Dylan is by far the team's unsung hero!
Athlete of the Week: Elderina Cecunjanin
Coach Johnson says Elderina Cecunjanin, a junior and two-year captain of the Greenfield Girls varsity soccer team, exemplifies leadership both on and off the field. As a pivotal force for the team, she consistently leads by example, motivating her teammates with her passion, work ethic, and dedication. Off the field, Elderina's commitment to the sport extends to volunteering her time at youth clinics, practices, and games working with younger players. She works tirelessly to share her love for soccer, inspiring the next generation of Green Wave athletes. Elderina's impact on the program is felt at every level, and her leadership continues to strengthen the Greenfield soccer community and the Greenfield community as a whole.

Notes from the District Nurse Leader
School Dental Program
We had a huge response for dental program participation from parents/guardians this year. Nurse Leader, Melissa Bednarski, is thrilled to announce that over 250 GPS students have signed up to receive dental care from the CHCFC School Dental Program. As dental health issues are one of the main reasons for student absences, we are so proud to be able to support this program and provide students with access to dental care.
