The Weekly Update #4
November 18th, 2024
A Message From The Head Raptor
Dear Riverview Families,
As we approach the close of 2024, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible progress and achievements we’ve seen at Riverview this semester. From the energy and engagement in classrooms to the enthusiasm on the playground, your children’s hard work, curiosity, and kindness inspire us daily.
While the holiday season can be a joyful time, we also recognize it can be stressful for some. Please know that our staff is here to support your children in every way possible. If your family needs additional resources or support, don’t hesitate to reach out. One thing that can help kids–and grown ups– during this time of year is to keep as much routine in our lives as possible. Maintaining the routines for reading, homework, next day preparation, and bedtime are just a few structures that keep a sense of consistency and predictability. The stability will be beneficial for success at school.
Looking ahead, winter break will begin on December 23rd, with classes resuming on January 2nd. We encourage all families to spend time together, relax, and enjoy the season. Don’t forget to keep reading with your children, exploring creative activities, and cherishing quality time.
Thank you for your partnership and support this year. On behalf of the entire team at Riverview, I wish you and your loved ones a warm, restful, and joyful holiday season.
With gratitude,
Courtney Schultz, Head Raptor

Success For All
As we head into the busy month of December, we want to take a moment to thank you for your continued dedication and support in helping your child with their reading journey. Your efforts at home truly make a difference, and we are so grateful for your commitment to fostering a love for reading in your child.
We understand that December can be a hectic time, but we encourage you to continue maintaining those reading routines, even during this busy season. Setting aside just 20 minutes each day can help your child stay on track and continue to build important literacy skills. Please also remember to complete the "Read and Respond" sheets at home and send them back to school with your child.
Thank you for all that you do to support your child's growth as a reader! Together, we can make this holiday season one of progress and success.
