NBJH Weekly Update 5/17/24
Correction on Graduation Date
May 17, 2024
Principal's Message
Hi folks,
Admittedly I haven't watched all of the films in the Fast & Furious movie series. (What are there, like ten now?!) But we sure can relate to the title's description of the pace of action around here. As we look ahead to the summer enrichment program, welcoming a new class of 6th graders and setting calendar dates for the 24-25 school year, we find ourselves extremely busy with coordinating end-of-year events for our current students. This week was highlighted by a successful Art Show, a 7th grade field trip to the Holocaust Museum, and a return of the Talent Show after a 5-year hiatus. Anytime we can showcase our talented students is a win in my book!
One thing on the 'To Do' list for current 7th graders was to make their elective selections for next year. We encourage you to talk with your 7th grader to make sure they have completed this task this week. For any student who does not submit their preferences for next year's elective classes, classes will be selected randomly for them.
One more full week before we head into the Memorial Day weekend...and our last week of classes for our 8th graders! Enjoy the sunshine this weekend.
Scott
Shout Outs
A major shout out to Mr. Hay for hosting an amazing Art Show this week. The student work on display is very impressive! Students and staff have enjoyed the opportunity to view the gallery in between classes and after school. A second shout out to our PTO volunteers who helped hang artwork and prepare for the show. We couldn't have done it without you!
Spanish 2 Pathway for Current 6th Graders *repeat*
