Principal's Message
Hello Hoffman Families!
This is our final Hoffman Hum of the school year!
With just two days of school remaining next week, I want to take a moment to thank everyone for a wonderful year. It has been a joy to be part of the Hoffman community. I’ve had so much fun and truly enjoyed my first year here!
Our fifth graders had a big week!
They were fantastic in their performance of Little Shop of Horrors. A big thank you to Ms. Cone, Mr. Banas, Ms. Dobias, Ms. Williams, and all the amazing parents who helped bring the show to life! On Friday, our fifth graders also enjoyed a picnic, and it looked like they had a great time celebrating together. We wish them all the best as they move on to middle school!
Tuesday is our last day of school and also our annual Field Day.
Students will be outside for field day for most of the morning, and the forecast is calling for warm weather (87°F). Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the heat, and consider applying sunscreen before they come to school.
I hope everyone has a fun, relaxing, and safe summer! To our third and fourth grade families, I look forward to seeing you again in the fall for another amazing year at Hoffman!
Luke Larmee
Hoffman School Principal
iPads and Headphones over the summer
Dear Families,
As we wrap up the school year, we want to share some important information regarding iPads and headphones for your students.
iPads Over the Summer
Students will keep their iPads throughout the summer. This allows them continued access to their learning tools and resources. However, incoming 6th graders will be required to turn in their old iPads, chargers, and bricks in the fall.
To prepare for this, please remind your child to download and save anything they want to keep to their Google Drive or another personal storage option before summer break. This will ensure no important files are lost when they return their devices.
Important: Any iPads, chargers, or bricks not returned will result in a replacement charge.
Headphones
Please hold on to your child’s headphones over the summer and make sure they bring them back in the fall. Headphones are not included on the school materials list because students are expected to continue using the headphones they’ve had from previous years.
If you have any questions or concerns about iPads or headphones, please reach out to our Instructional Innovation Specialist, Alex Virlas, at avirlas@glenview34.org.
Thank you for your cooperation and support!
