August 15-17: Strong Start Student Orientations with Advisors
August 17: Back to School Socials at select Barnes & Noble stores, 1:00-3:00
August 20-24: Student Orientation with Content Teachers
- Monday: English I, English II, Algebra I
- Throughout, as per master schedule: All Other Core and Electives
August 20-31: Boot Camp for English I, English II, and Algebra I Tues-Fri
September 3: Labor Day, No School
- 2 Days until 2018-19 School Year Begins
- 15 Days until Instructional Level CC Sessions Begin
- 39 Days until Benchmark 1 Opens
1. Continue to work on the Beginning of Year Checklist
2. Remove the "Lead Teacher" line from your email signature.
3. For PLC Teachers: Email Becky when you are ready for course copy.
4. Complete the Back to School PD Effectiveness Survey.
5. Note that title, "Catch-Up Plan" for students starting in later cohorts has changed to "Course Prep Work."
Additional Information Regarding Expense Reimbursement
Approval for K12 Texas Schools travel reservations and extraordinary purchases must be obtained from the HOS or the principal as per our policies & guidelines. The email indicating approval must then be submitted by the person when submitting through iExpense for reimbursement.

Class Connect Session Naming Conventions
Normal naming convention
- Beginning time-Ending time Content Grade/Class/Group_Name
- Class refers to Targeted (B); Advanced (A); Proficient (C)
- Group refers to the day you see them.
- For example –Proficient on Mondays is 1, Tuesdays 2, etc.
- example: 9:50-10:40 Algebra I B1_Pesek
Small group and reteach
- Same as normal naming convention except instead of the Class/Group you would insert SG for small group and TG for Targeted
- For example: 12:20-12:50 Algebra I SG_Pesek

- A- Advanced, B-basic/targeted, C- Proficient; 1,2,3 are the sections you have. So your 1st Targeted Group is B1.
