Schedule appointments (like doctors and dentists) outside the workday.
Use our school calendar when planning family trips and vacations during winter, spring, and summer break.

National Honor Society
Is your student interested in the National Honor Society?
Invitations to join the HRVHS Chapter of the National Honor Society will be delivered to students in February based on semester one grades. Here is more information:
Our chapter is focused on four key values: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. Our members are committed to academic excellence, inspiring and guiding others through their leadership, dedicating time to serve their community, and to lead our school with positivity and compassion. Membership is not based solely on grade point average. Candidates' applications must include evidence of community service and leadership. We have mandatory meetings at HRVHS during WIN time once per month. Students need to maintain a 3.6 GPA and must complete community service hours each semester to remain active members.
Students invited to apply for admission into the HRVHS Chapter of the National Honor Society must have the following cumulative GPA at the end of semester one:
3.6 or better for junior candidates
3.7 or better for sophomore candidates
Parents: Encourage your student to sign up for Mrs. Bauman’s WIN time if they need help creating their Activities Chart through Oregon CIS. Most sophomores have not done this before. Instructions will be included with the invitations, but we are here to help if needed.
Here are the important upcoming dates:
Invitations based on cumulative GPAs will be delivered to students on Feb. 13 during school.
Applications due Monday, Feb. 24 at 3:30 p.m. Late applications will not be accepted. These must be delivered as paper copies to the HRVHS Counseling Office.
Induction will be held in the Bowe Theatre on Thursday, April 3rd in the evening. More details to follow.
