We're reaching out to our Dover Bay families to support this crucial safety initiative. Your contribution will directly fund the emergency supplies needed to keep our students and staff safe when they need it most.

STUDENT VOICE ADVISORY COMMITTEE: GATHERING STUDENT FEEDBACK
A group of students from all grades at Dover Bay has begun meeting weekly to help identify and address issues that affect our student body. This Student Voice Advisory Committee includes a diverse cross-section of our school population and is actively working to gather feedback from their peers.
In December, committee members will introduce a school-wide survey during class visits. The survey aims to better understand student concerns and gather ideas for potential improvements at Dover Bay. Results and recommendations will be shared with both school administration and students.
I'm encouraged by these students' commitment to making Dover Bay better for everyone. More details about their work and survey findings will be shared in future updates.

DOVER'S AUTOMOTIVE PROGRAM
The automotive program at Dover Bay Secondary has been blessed with these latest vehicle donations from our community members. A 2008 Honda Civic, 2013 Hyundai Elantra, 2012 Chevrolet Sonic, and a 2008 Chevrolet Colorado. Vehicles get donated for a variety of reasons, and some stay part of the school for student learning of the mechanical/autobody trades while others are financially viable to repair and are put back on the road. We don’t take for granted these donations and the staff and students appreciate considering us with these vehicles.

Congratulations to all our athletes on an amazing Fall Season and thank you so much to all the coaches and families that helped support and guide these athletes this season.
As December rolls out…we are on to the Winter season and the 11 Dover Basketball teams have all had tryouts and have been practicing hard to start the league play that starts the first week of December and runs till the end of February. We had our Sr. Boys Basketball team kick off the season with a packed gym on Monday last block and our athletics leadership students along with our favorite announcer Mr. Pfeifer put on a fun event for a packed house.

Sending Student Transcripts to Post-Secondary Schools
Any grade 12 students who have applied for a post-secondary program will need to order and send transcripts using BC’s Student Transcript Services portal. Students will need to create a BCeID as well as connecting the BCeID to the Student Transcript Services account if they haven’t already done so. Most post-secondary institutions in BC, Alberta, and Ontario (via OUAC) require applicants to release electronic (XML) transcripts to them using Student Transcript Services. Check out our “how-to” page on the Dover Counselling Website for detailed instructions or watch these instructional videos to help you navigate the process.
ATTENDANCE
HOMEWORK CLUB
Hello Parents and Guardians,
We are two grade twelve students this year and we have been working to start up an after school homework help for grade 8 and 9 students at Dover. This is a great opportunity for students to come for help with new topics, assignments, projects and come together to share ideas. We are more than happy to help with subjects from math, to science, to languages. We are both excited to collaborate and support grades 8 and 9s because we know that school can be hard so it can be so helpful to receive extra help. We will meet after school every Monday in Lower D wing project room D112A until 3. We would love it if you could inform your kids about this opportunity so we can make sure everyone knows about it. If you have any questions, you can email us at csargent@learn68.ca (mailto:csargent@learn68.ca). or gcavanagh@learn68.ca (mailto: gcavanagh@learn68.ca)
