Principals Kōrero
Congratulations to our Linkhorn rugby team, which has advanced to the finals. It is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and exceptional teamwork. Their journey to the finals has been a source of pride for our school community, and we eagerly anticipate the upcoming match.
Additionally, our chess team achieved a remarkable 4th-place finish at the regional competition. Their outstanding performance highlights their exceptional skills and strategic thinking. We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and the dedication they have demonstrated.
Next week is our annual cross-country competition. The event is a great opportunity for our students to demonstrate their resilience and athletic abilities. It is also an excellent time for our community to connect as we support our tamariki.
We continue to prepare for our school production, which will take place in week 3 of term 4. The production promises to showcase talent and creativity, and we are excited to share the final result with you all.
We are pleased to announce that the Education Review Office (ERO) will visit our school next week. ERO's review will provide valuable insights into the quality of education at Inglewood Primary. We are confident that our school will receive a positive report, reflecting the hard work and dedication of our staff and students.
With the onset of winter, we have observed an increase in illness. To prevent the spread of germs and ensure the health and well-being of our school community, we kindly request that you keep your children home from school if they are unwell.
We hope you have a wonderful week ahead, and we look forward to celebrating the successes of our students and school community.
Nga mihi

Out of Zone Enrolments for Term 4 2024
Enrolment at Inglewood School is governed by an enrolment scheme, details of which are available on the school website or from the school office.
The board is now inviting applications from parents who wish to enrol their children at Inglewood Primary School starting within Term 4 2024.
All applications must be received by 3pm Monday 9 September for Term 3 2024. If a ballot for out of zone places is required, it will be held on Wednesday 11 September 2024. Parents will be informed of the outcome of the ballot within three school days of the ballot being held.
The board has determined that 10 places from Year 1-5 are likely to be available for out-of-zone students within Term 4 2024. The exact number of places will depend on the number of applications received from students who live within the school’s home zone. Parents of students who live within the home zone and intend enrolling their child at any time during the year should notify the school to assist the school to plan appropriately.
The application form for enrolment is available from the school website, or from the school office.
Please note, that if the number of out-of-zone applications exceeds the number of places available, students will be selected by ballot. Parents will be informed of the outcome of the ballot within three school days of the ballot being held.
Congratulations to our Chess Team
Our 4th place-getters at the NZ Chess Federation Regional finals, held on 2nd September, at Oakura, are Jordan Curd, Nathan Battersby, Max Morgan and Joshua Eberhardt. A great effort by our team of representatives.
NZ Fresh Aire Challenge
Over the next two weeks we are participating it the NZ Fresh Air Challenge.
Each day our whānau leaders will go around the classes and record how they came to and from school. The idea is have as many children as we can arrive at school safely and having biked, walked, or scooted to school.
While the car is a must for some who live a bit further away, children can always be dropped off down the street so they may walk a portion of the way to participate in the challenge.
Enjoy the spring fresh air too whānau!!
