Principal's Messaage
Falcon Families,
As we enter the final week of school, I want to take a moment to thank you for an incredible year. It’s truly an honor to serve as your school leader. I 💙 our community. Otay Elementary is the place to be! Your partnership, support, and trust have made a lasting impact on our students and school community. We want to extend our deepest gratitude to the incredible parent volunteers who have dedicated countless hours to supporting our school. From serving on School Site Council, committees and the PTA, to helping at the Falcon Store, prepping the soccer field for games, decorating for events—the list goes on and on.
This year has been filled with growth, learning, and so many meaningful moments-from joyful performances and events to our West Division Soccer League Championship! Our students have truly shined, and it wouldn’t have been possible without your involvement and encouragement every step of the way.
To our promoting families, we wish your children continued success as they begin their next chapter. To those returning, we’re already looking forward to what’s ahead.
On behalf of the entire Otay team, thank you for being part of our Falcon family. We wish you a restful, joyful summer filled with fun, learning, and special memories.
Together We Soar!
Your partner in education,
Mrs.Quiroga
PTA Update
PTA Elections
We are happy to announce that we have nominations for all positions! Now, the next step is to hold a required in-person meeting for members to vote. We will do our best to hold this meeting this week. However, if we are unable to gather enough members to vote, the elections will be postponed until the new school year.
Attendance
Attendance Matters
Let’s keep working together toward our 92.60% attendance goal—every day counts!
Last week's attendance average was 93.19% Congratulations to Mrs. Guerrero's class for having the highest attendance, 98.15%!
The Learning Pit
Continue to ask your child daily: Did you get into the Learning Pit? At Otay, we encourage students to use a growth mindset to face challenges, have a go at something new, try with a willingness to be confused or make mistakes along the way, and to persist in problem solving.
