Finals
Wednesday, June 11th, is our last day for school with students. Students will take their third and fourth period final that morning and then be released to go home at 11:40AM. Due to the kitchen being closed for maintenance, there will be no lunch served that day. Buses will run at their regular schedule starting at 3PM for students who are still at PFHS. KTEC students who go to KTEC in the morning will either take their fourth period final at PFHS on 6/11 that morning, or make arrangements with their teacher when they are at PFHS later that day. Please call if you have any questions.

DECA Nationals 2025
Advisors, Mr. Vordahl and Miss White, took 19 students to Orlando, Florida to compete at DECA Nationals. This is a huge competition with over 20,000 students. We are incredibly proud of all the students who qualified for Nationals and were able to represent Post Falls High School in such a positive way. A HUGE congratulations to Kyle O'Halloran, who was the only student from Idaho to make the stage at Nationals!

What's Happening?
Art II Puzzle Portrait
Ms. Wemhoff's Art II kids came together and completed parts of Gustave Courbet Le Désespéré, (The Desperate Man), 1843-1845 to create the larger, whole image. Each section is one student's work; 16 in total for this piece.
Geometry Conics Projects
Geometry students used their knowledge of equations to create designs using Desmos Graphing. They had to include 2 circles, 2 parabolas, 2 ellipses (ovals), and 2 hyperbolas in their creations. It is always amazing to see our students' creativity!
PreCalculus Personal Mathematics Statements
Mathematics is fundamental to our lives. Without math we could not perform the simplest calculations, measure distances, weights, or temperature, or even tell time accurately. We would find it impossible to accomplish routine tasks and understand our world.
PreCalculus students took this prompt and wrote personal statements about how math affects them and their world. Here are a few samples of their work.
From Classroom to Community: Biology Students Making a Difference
Our biology classes have been diving deep into the pressing environmental issues facing our planet. Students are now putting that knowledge into action, developing presentations and, even more importantly, implementing a project right here in our community. Examples include students starting gardens/composting at home, choosing to thrift clothes instead of buying brand new, and teaching other groups among the community to have a larger impact. Last year over 50 bags of trash/litter were collected from green spaces, they saved over 8,000 gallons of water, they planted over 75 trees, and raised $1500 for donation to conservation organizations! We plan to exceed these numbers this year!
