Message from Dr. Reams
Happy Fall Randolph Families,
This week is our Attendance Spirit Week! We hope you will participate on the days that you can! Details are below in the Week-At-A-Glance section and as an attachment.
We're WILD for READING! Visit the fall Book Fair this week September 23-27. Students will be visiting the Book Fair during the school day. Click here to learn more about the Book Fair and to sign up for an eWallet, Scholastic's cash-free payment option - and the easiest way to pay!
Families are welcome to stop by before or after school Monday-Thursday. We will stay open until 4:30 on Wednesday - the perfect time to shop together! It's also a fantastic opportunity to donate to a teacher's Wish List and help build their classroom libraries! Thanks for helping to make this fundraiser a success. All purchases support our school!

The purpose of the survey is to collect student input on how our school is doing in creating a safe, welcoming, inclusive environment for all students and to solicit input on how we can improve. Any parent wishing to opt their child out of taking this survey may do so by emailing Dr. Reams @mreams@glnd.k12.va.us.
- 4th and 5th Grade Families: Please join us on Wednesday, September 25th from 6:00pm to 7:30pm beginning in the GMS Auditorium to learn more about the advanced high school programs available to GCPS students (Advanced College Academy, Blue Ridge Virginia Governor's School, and Maggie Walker Governor's School). All families with students in grades 4-8 are welcome! It's never too early to start planning!
Gifted and Talented News
How can students be referred for gifted screening?
A teacher or a parent may refer a child for gifted screening. If your child exhibits gifted behaviors and is performing above level, you or your child’s teachers may refer your child as a good candidate. The fall testing window opens October 1st and closes November 1st.
Go to Goochland County Schools Gifted Page. Here you will find the Gifted Referral Process and the Initial Referral Form. This form is due to Randolph Elementary by 3pm on November 1st. Please contact egemmill@glnd.k12.va.us with questions.
Destination Imagination permission slips are due to the GRT at your child’s school no later than Monday, September 30th. Learn more by checking out the attachments.
