Appleton Echo
Autumn Term 2 Week 1
A word from Mr Broom
You can tell how well our children are doing when you stop and ask them to recall what they know. I’m always amazed how knowledgeable they are, and that’s how the teachers make the knowledge stick.
Next week, it’s another busy one with parent consultations and some of our KS1 children will be attending a zumba workshop at Sherburn Hungate Primary school. I will also be meeting with the team to set professional targets for this next year, as we continue on our strike for excellence.
Have a super weekend everyone.

From Mrs Weights...
PTA
We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone that helped and donated to the Halloween trail last week. It was a lovely evening. Without your help and contribution, events like this wouldn't be possible. If you are thinking about getting involved with the PTA please ask speak to Lisa at admin@ar.starmat.uk or pop along to our next meeting which is on Thursday 21st November held in the main hall at school.
Appleton Roebuck Tennis Club Starting 3rd November
We are moving sessions to s Sunday morning (due to the light) for this block up to December. Also hoping to start a third older group if there is interest (though aware lots of children may be playing football on a Sunday morning!)
Many thanks,
Jill
Pre-school
If you are thinking of having a sort out of your toys before Christmas, Appleton Roebuck Preschool are looking for good quality sellable donations for a Toy Jumble that they are hosting at Allsaint Church on 17th November.
Bikes and scooters
Could we ask for your help encouraging children to push their bikes and scooters across the playground at drop off and pick up times. Many thanks!
Wrap Around Care Booking - Autumn Term 2
We are a 'Nut Free' School
A polite reminder that we have children in school who have severe nut allergies. Please ensure that you do not bring nuts on to the school site or include them in packed lunches.
Thank you for your support with this.
