Martin Luther King Jr. Day - Monday, January 20, 2025
As we celebrate and recognize the work of Martin Luther King, Jr. this long holiday weekend, please remember his famous quote, “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically, intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education.'' As a school community we must continue to work together for the future success of all of our children. Observed each year on the third Monday in January as “a day on, not a day off,” MLK day is the only federal holiday designated as a national day of service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities.
