We want to thank all of our amazing families for filling out the survey for our outside Parade. The participation in the survey. We had over a hundred parents fill out the survey indicating their preferences and who planned on attending our outdoor Parade. Unfortunately, due to the weather, we were unable to have it outside. That prompted the teachers to develop another plan, so we had to move the Parade indoors. By moving the Parade indoors, we had to exclude our families from attending. We are so sorry about this!

Teachers rally together to come up with a plan last minute to give the students a wonderful day. So, even though we couldn't invite parents into the building, we want to give you a taste of what the students and staff experienced on this incredible day. I warn you....there are a lot of pictures below. Maybe you will find a few of your students. Enjoy!

Families of 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders, is your child interested in possibly joining this year’s Science Olympiad team? Green information sheets went home Friday, October 29th with students. Please return the bottom part of the form to Ms. Laichalk by Friday, November 5th if your child is interested. There will be a virtual information meeting on Teams on Wednesday, November 10th at 7 P.M. for all interested students and their adults. Clinton Valley LEGO Club for 5th Graders

Hello students! Here is a chance for you to do one of your favorite activities and learn at the same time! In LEGO Club, we use LEGOs to create vehicles, planes, and other types of LEGO things. Are you interested? If you are, You will be getting an application from Mrs. Walters in the building next week! LEGO Club helps build our Lego Robotics Team for the school year. The Lego Robotics team meets twice a week over a period of weeks learning coding and building a Lego Robot. These robots compete in a district event. The Lego Robotic team will be selected after the Lego Club completes its meetings. Applications and information will be passed out at the Lego Club for the Lego Robotic Team.

LEGO Club Information:

• There is NO registration fee to join LEGO Club. However, membership will be limited to the 25 students from 5th grade only.
• Forms will be passed out in the building the Week of Oct 25th.
• Lego Club Meetings will be held on Wednesday November 3,10,17
• From 3:55p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
• Pick up will be at the main entrance of the school
• Parents will be responsible for transportation at the end of each meeting.
• A letter will come home telling you your student is invited to attend the club.
• If you are interested in LEGO Club, your parent or guardian must sign the form and you must return it to Mrs. Walters!

• You must return your completed form by October 29, 2021.

ECSE students wrapped up our pumpkin week by painting our own pumpkins. Students had fun practicing fine motor skills and learning about mixing colors.

They also had their Halloween party.

Second Grade loved learning about pumpkins! We did pumpkin investigations all week long. We read articles and highlighted facts about pumpkins, described our class pumpkin, measured it, guessed if it would sink or float, and estimated how many seeds were inside. We were shocked when we counted by hundreds, tens, and ones and found out that it had 618 seeds. Wow! Our favorites were sink or float and feeling the "guts" inside. 🎃

Fourth-grader, Bree Ellison, won this adorable hat and scarf at the Cardinal Cafe for 10 points! Doesn’t she look awesome??

The Holiday season is upon us and we would like to do all that we can to help our families.

The district has approved a $250 signing bonus to any aide who is hired for this year and works for at least 90 days.
