A Word From Our Principal
Dear Parents,
The month of April brings about a time of growth and moving forward in new, and positive ways. It marks the beginning of Spring, hosts Earth Day, and includes significant religious observances like Passover and Easter. As we enter this month, please mark your calendar for our all school Mass held this Friday at 8:10 AM along with Stations of the Cross at 2:50 PM. Our Easter Break will be held Thursday, April 17th - Monday, April 21st. We hope you enjoy that special time with your family.
Exciting news! We were able to hire a Special Education/Resource teacher for the 2025-2026 school year and Jessica Heiser has agreed to fill this position. Mrs. Heiser currently teaches second grade, however with her background in Special Education, she makes a good fit into the position. Our teacher aides will also continue to provide support and intervention to meet the needs of students. Other staffing updates will be provided as they become available.
Our fourth Strategic Plan listening session is scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, April 2nd. It will be held in the Cafeteria from 7:00 - 8:00 PM. This session will focus on reviewing the surveys sent to families and faculty and be an overview / recap of the previous listening sessions. If you have been unable to attend any of the listening sessions, this would be a great one to try and make!
The McTeacher’s Night Fundraiser will be held Wednesday, April 2nd from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. McDonald’s is donating 50%, yes FIFTY PERCENT, of all digital* sales to our school! Just go to McDonald’s between 4PM - 7PM and place a digital* order and our school receives the funds! *NOTE: for your order to qualify you must place and pay for the order on the app or the kiosk.
Our Spring Concert will be held on Wednesday, April 9th at 6:30 PM in the (newer) school gym. The K-6 students can wear their baseball or softball attire. If they do not play ball, they may wear a GACC t-shirt with school appropriate shorts or jeans. Students may wear hats or visors. No Cleats!!! Tennis shoes may be worn. Grandparents may attend the rehearsal that morning beginning at 8:30 AM. We look forward to seeing you there.
Finally, the end of the year Star testing will be held beginning April 14th - May 9th. 2nd - 6th grade students will take both reading and math assessments. Please visit with your child about doing the best they can and showing what they know on the tests. The end of the year testing is always exciting because it reveals a student's growth.
As always, please do not hesitate to call me, email me, or contact the school if you have any questions or concerns.
God’s Blessings,
Mrs. Paula Peatrowsky

Potential FREE School Lunch during June - August
West Point Public Schools requested that we send a short survey to determine interest in a Summer Food Program where any area child, ages 1-18, would receive FREE lunches from June through August 2025. There would be no income guidelines in order to receive free lunch over the summer. Whether or not your family would be interested in this, please click the link below to complete the brief survey. Thank you in advance for your input.
Annual Required School Census Data - Please Complete by April 15
Guardian Angels Central Catholic in conjunction with West Point Public Schools must conduct a school census annually, in order to get the most accurate number of persons and the most complete record of names and addresses of the patrons in the district.
On April 18, you were emailed a link to a brief questionnaire. It is very important that every family with children age 0 to 21 years of age complete the following questionnaire. If you have not yet completed the questionnaire, please click the link below to complete it by April 15.
