The Jones Journal
Dec. 2024
Welcome to December!
Dear Jones Elementary,
Welcome to December! As we approach the final month of the year, I want to take a moment to express how proud we are of all the hard work and growth our students have shown so far this school year. December is a time for reflection, celebration, and togetherness. It’s a month filled with exciting opportunities to learn, share, and spread kindness. Please encourage your student to finish this year strong, whether through completing a special project, helping a classmate, or simply showing gratitude for the wonderful community we are all a part of. Let’s make this December a month of joy, learning, and giving back. I’m excited for all that’s to come!
Warmly,
Anyahlyn Dillon
Theme for the Year: Every Student, Every Day!
Daily Attendance Matters
Missed Lessons = Falling Behind: Even one day can mean missing critical instructions and activities, making it harder for your child to catch up.
Impact on Future Success: Consistent attendance is a strong predictor of academic achievement and future opportunities.
Building Resilience: Regular attendance teaches your child the value of perseverance and responsibility—essential skills for success in life.
Stronger Friendships: Daily presence helps your child develop and sustain friendships, which are crucial for emotional and social development.
