Thank you to the students, families, and staff who supported our Middle School Site Night on Monday, March 10. Our JLA community came out to share the fantastic programs and opportunities offered to JLA students. Our cheer team kicked off the event with their first performance of the season, and the energy was electric. Thank you for making the event a huge success! On Friday, the Math Department hosted a Pi Day that was a resounding success! The Pi eating contest and Pi number competitions were so much fun. Despite the rainy day, the auditorium was filled with positive energy during lunch.
This week
On Monday, we celebrate St. Patrick's Day with Green tops and uniform bottoms for students. See below for what is allowed. We will also have our 8th-grade promotional pictures on Monday. Students can wear formal attire for their photographs.
On Tuesday, we will kick off our soccer seasons for boys and girls teams against Hoover. Our girls will be at home, and our boys will be at Hoover. The teams have been training hard and are ready to give their best. See times below.
Friday is Lunch with a Loved One. This community event was a hit in the fall, and we are excited to host this spring event for families this Friday. All families are invited to participate during their child's grade-level lunch.

- Minimum Day Schedule (for students): Thursday 1:10 pm, HS Open House
- 8th grade promotional photos Monday, March 17
- School Site Council: Tuesday, 3:00-4:00
- Boys' Soccer Game vs. Hoover @Hoover: Tuesday, 3:45 – 4:45 pm
- Girls' Soccer Game vs Hoover @ JLA: Tuesday 4:30 – 5:30 pm
- College Shirt Day: Friday
- Lunch with a Loved One: Friday at all grade level lunches
