From the NAHS Counselors
If you have not already completed a transcript release form for January 1 college application deadlines or for summer school applications, the deadline to turn in your transcript release form is this Thursday, December 19 at 3:00pm. Since school will not be in session over break, we are not able to process any transcripts or school forms during that time.
Thank you to everyone who attended our College Planning Meeting on Tuesday night, December 10, in the McCoy Center. If you were unable to attend, the presentation was recorded. Please click on the video link to view it.
In addition, the Powerpoint presentation is available to parents and students on Naviance under Document Resources on the bottom of the Naviance Student home page. Click on Junior College Night to view the slides.
Good luck on finishing up the semester and we wish you a relaxing holiday break!
Ohio Seal of Biliteracy
This winter, New Albany High School is pleased to offer our seniors the opportunity to graduate with the Ohio Seal of Biliteracy. This program recognizes graduating high school seniors who have achieved a high level of proficiency in English and a foreign language. New Albany High School seniors will have the opportunity to earn the Ohio Seal of Biliteracy by demonstrating proficiency in English and in a foreign language through the guidelines established by the Ohio Department of Education. To earn this seal, seniors must earn a proficient score on the foreign language assessment approved by the Ohio Department of Education. This computer-based assessment will be offered at New Albany High School on Tuesday, January 14th.
Senior students and families should refer to the email sent on December 9th for registration information. Registration must be completed by January 10th. Questions can be directed to Lauren Jones, Global Languages Department Chair (jones.31@napls.us).
