Our Golden Weekly Communication from the Nest
Week of June 9, 2025
Dear Golden Families,
This has been a year to remember. A year filled with joy, growth, milestones, and moments of pride. From celebrating our 60th Anniversary to earning well-deserved accolades and awards, 2024–2025 has been a truly special chapter in Golden’s history. From the very start, we committed ourselves to our theme: “We Are Golden: Every Student, Every Day,” and together, with your partnership, we brought it to life. Through every lesson, event, challenge, and celebration, our Golden Eagle students were at the heart of it all. Your support, encouragement, and collaboration helped them thrive, not just as learners, but as kind, confident, and capable human beings. Because of you, they soared.
Thank you for being the incredible village behind each child. Whether volunteering your time, cheering from the sidelines, helping with homework, or simply showing up day after day; you made a difference. You are an essential part of what makes Golden shine so brightly. The connections we’ve made will truly be treasured. I absolutely adore your children, and I will miss them over the summer! I hope the weeks ahead are filled with laughter, rest, and quality time together as a family.
For those of you whose journey at Golden is coming to an end as your children move on to new adventures, please know: Once a Golden Eagle, always a Golden Eagle. You will always have a home here, and we can’t wait to hear about all the wonderful things your children will go on to accomplish.
Our office will officially close on June 26th and reopen on August 11th. If you need anything over the summer, please don’t hesitate to email me.
Wishing you all a fantastic last week of school. As a reminder, Thursday is a 12:00 PM dismissal! Thank you again for being such an integral part of our school community. Your support makes all the difference.
We are Golden. Every Student. Every Day. And that includes you.
Have a wonderful, relaxing summer!
With heartfelt appreciation,
Kristin

Golden is looking for next year's 4th - 6th grade students to serve as student valets for the 2025-26 school year. This is a wonderful leadership opportunity, as well as a way to get connected and be part of our Golden Community. If your child is interested, please read the requirements and complete the form below. We take pride in our morning valet program, and look forward to selecting some amazing Golden Eagles to help serve our community next year. Just a reminder, students serve one week a month, so please consider joining our team!
2025-26 Morning Valet - Sign Up
A schedule will be given out the first week of school! We look forward to working with your child! Thank you!
6th Grade Promotion
Sixth Grade Promotion is an exciting day and will be the last day of school, Thursday, June 12th at 8:15am. I wanted to share a few reminders regarding our morning procedures to make sure everything goes smoothly.
Please drop your child off at school like you would any other morning. Students will enter campus and report to their classroom before 7:50am. After dropping off your child, please then go find a place to park. Please do not park in the George Key Parking Lot or any staff assigned parking spot. You are welcome to find a place to park along Golden Avenue or the neighboring streets near the front of the school.
The Main Gate will open at 8:00am for families to enter. There will be no saved seats before entrance. Please do not come onto campus before 8am. Once all Golden Students have arrived and are in class, families will be able to enter our campus. We ask that you please sign in using the QR code in front of the school or inside the Golden Park Area in front of the main gate like we do for all large events. There will be a line, and we ask you to please be mindful not to block any gates, student traffic flow, or valet lines. We need to make sure that ALL of our students can get through the gates on time. Gates will be closed at 7:50am, and then the Main Gate will re-open at 8:00am for you to enter and find a seat. We have secured extra chairs, so there is plenty of room. The promotion will be held on the upper grade blacktop area.
If you would like your younger sibling(s) to attend and watch the promotion, they are welcome to. Please email their teacher ahead of time, but siblings must first go check in with their teacher and take attendance. At the culmination of promotion, your sixth grade child will go back to their classroom where you can then check them out to go home. If you are planning on taking any younger siblings home, you will need to check them out at the front office; however, it has been our experience that siblings don’t like to miss the last day activities with their teacher.
We look forward to celebrating this special day with you next week, and we appreciate your support.

- This form is for parents to sign when checking out a Chromebook for their child.
