📝 CMAS Testing for Juniors 📝
Spartan Families,
BHS students have consistently performed well on state testing! Our CMAS Science State Assessment is coming up on Monday, March 31, at 8:30 AM. ALL juniors, including those who attend TOL and SOARS will participate in this state required assessment. This is a great opportunity for students to showcase their skills and continue their track record of success.
Important Reminders:
All students will test in the small gym unless they have been instructed otherwise. If students (including those from TOL and SOARS) are unsure of their testing location, they can check in at the gym on the morning of testing.
If your student is not able to attend the test on March 31, please email erin.gilbert@tsd.org as soon as possible!
Please bring your charged Chromebook.
Testing Details:
Testing will run from 8:30 AM to approximately 11:45 AM, with two sessions.
A break will be included between sessions, and students are encouraged to bring a snack and water bottle.
Juniors who take the test will be automatically excused from their morning classes.
Juniors will attend their regularly scheduled classes in the afternoon (periods 5-8). *All other grades will attend their regular schedule.
Please reach out if you have any questions or if you know your student is unable to attend.
Erin Gilbert, Assistant Principal

Semester 2 Finals Attendance Expectations
Semester 2 finals will take place May 19, 2025 - May 23, 2025. We want to make sure everyone is aware of the expectations for attendance during this time. To review the schedule, please refer to the following link: S2 Finals Schedule
It is expected that all students remain in class until the period is over. The office staff/administration will NOT interrupt a class to have a student released for any reason during this time. If you need to have your student released, please make arrangements for them to leave at passing period, not during class time. If a student finishes their exam early, we will not be able to release them. We want to respect all students during their exam time and allow them to have uninterrupted time to complete their exam. We strive for all students to continue to work hard in their classes and finish the semester strong.

🎓 Class of 2025 Information 🎓
Graduation
Graduation Letter & Important Information/Dates packet. Please make sure you read over this information and mark your calendar to make sure you do not miss any important deadline or event. (this was also emailed to all seniors and their families on 3/14/2025)
Deadline for Community Service is March 31, 2025!
It is imperative seniors make a plan to complete their community service graduation requirement (20 hours in almost all cases for seniors who have attended BHS all four years). As soon as a student has completed the requisite number of hours, this is reflected on their transcript almost immediately, which guardians can see via Parent Portal; once your senior is selected, click the menu lines in the top left corner, choose documents, then choose “unofficial transcript” - if your student has completed the requirement the image to the right will be displayed on the document.
If this entry does not appear, the student’s requirement is not complete.
Hours should be completed and submitted by March 31, 2025 to ensure a student is fully able to participate in graduation activities and receive their diploma. Please make a plan to ensure that this requirement is completed by the deadline; the form that students must fill out for each separate organization at which they serve can be printed from this link to the documentation form, or preprinted forms can be retrieved by students at Ms. Barrett’s desk in the BHS Library. If a student needs additional time to complete these hours or you have any questions or concerns regarding this requirement, please contact Carin Barrett at carin.barrett@tsd.org.

🚗 BHS Parking Permits 🚙
ALL students that drive to BHS are required to display a parking permit in their vehicle to park on campus. Please register your vehicle at the following link: http://bit.ly/bhspermit or use the QR code posted by the main office for your FREE parking permit (1st=free, if replacement is needed=$2.00/ea.) Once you have completed the form and it has been processed, you will be called to the office to pick up your permit. The permits are good until the student graduates and will be turned in at that time.
Why is this necessary? For the students and staff safety we need information on every vehicle here at the school. Any vehicle without a permit or who is parked in violation of other school rules or laws may receive a Parking Violation from BHS. First offense is a $20.00 fine and fines go up for second and third violations. Payment must be made to the school’s Bookkeeping Office within 14 days after receiving the violation. Continual violations or a serious violation may result in loss of parking privileges at BHS. If you have any questions, please speak with SRO Deputy, Vince Mosley or Campus Security
